Re: Odd Electrical Issue - Crusader 350's (454cid)
Gents, I have an issue that I can't figure out so I'm trying to see if you guys have any ideas or have come across this before. Application: Twin Crusader 454's, @ 3 hours run time after major work done including rebuilt alternators. Symptom: Some times when running the engines, both voltage gauges...

thanks guys I will report back yes this is the 6.5 the water pump belt needs replaced and the only way I can get enough adjustment is with both the top water pump and the side circulating pump. The only way to get to the side circulating pump is to take the cover off. it appears they put the genny t...

I dont disagree but whatelse can I do? the genny is behind the engines, and I guess they could hit the mufflers and the trim tab pump.alexander38 wrote:photo ?...I wouldn't want to loose a safety shield. What could that belt hurt if it ever broke ?
My goal is to cut it in such a way that I can replace 90% of it.

I dont know much
but when I went through backfire issues it was always water in the fuel. so I would check my water/fuel seperaters. On mine there are 2, a 'big one' that is from the gas tank into the engine, and a 'liitle' one that is in the carbourator. I did change the filters in my big one several times, to real...

what tool to use to cut away a schroud?
I need to change the belt on my genny. I have concluded to do this, I need to take off the schroud. but the schround basically is bulk headed in there. So I think I need to cut it away. It is sheet metal, maybe an 1/8 3/16" thick. I was thinking about using my dremel tool, but I dont know if it...

I had this problem, and ran it back to that carb filter you said you changed. I still think it is a water issue. But I also found that my in line water seperator was broken.(the one between the gas tank and the engine) I thought it was fine, as I replaced the element and all looked good. but what I ...

having done
this job, I am pretty sure those wires go to the holding tank level indicator, mine is in the head. I have removed that hose and unsrewed the plate to get into the tank, no fun there, but it was the only way.
we pumped it out with a hand pump into buckets!! I hope not to have to do that job again.

Re: idea's for scuba trip?
Me an a buddy are looking for a place to do some diving around southern Ontario, thinking lake Erie or maybe Georgian Bay, we are doing a Kingston run later this year. Anyone dive in these areas? If so any tips or suggestions? Any recomended charters? Are there any divers here that might like to go...

Re: Yet another.... Vacuflush System Question !!!
Yes, I've used the search and read a bunch of threads but I couldn't find anything exactly like I have. My system is a Mansfield Vacuflush model 806. It's different in what I usually see because it doesn't have a base, it sits in a hole in the fiberglass of the boat. My boat is a 85' Express 10m. S...

the onan mcck was never a DIY set up. ever. this has to be one the most annoying things about this particular generator. having grown up with a kohler in our tri cab, i can see why dad opted out of the onan in favor of our own setup. in short, no. there is no easy way to change the impeller on this...
