Re: Winter boat cover
It's a long shot, but years ago we found a fisher canvas for sale on craigslist. It was 200 miles away, but the owner only wanted $500 for it. It had to be a good 15 years old when we purchased it, and it has needed the zipper resewn this past winter, however it has held up well. The down side, it's...

Re: Cetol Vs. Oil on Interior Wood
My Cruisers Inc I oiled and it was very nice, but didn't pop. My Silverton I've added a lot of wood and have been varnishing it to a high gloss. It pops now and only needs a quick dust or damp wipe to keep it looking good! http://i1177.photobucket.com/albums/x353/bpulaski47/Silverton%2034C/null_zpsd...

Wow Bubbabuda, 31 mph at 3400 is impressive to say the least.

Re: Trojan F 32 sportfisherman on Ebay
The F36 has it one step down correct? I've always been up in the air on galley up set ups, but the few boats I've been on with them seem to work very well (hatteras and egg harbor).

Re: Trojan F 32 sportfisherman on Ebay
I didn't read the description, but scanning the photos she doesn't look all that bad. Assuming the motors have life left it seems to be a decent deal. It looks like they intended to rise the galley to salon level. The thought has crossed my mind on my boat, and it would be interesting to see how muc...

Beautiful work! What is the lighter colored more grey looking wall covering? Is it also a wood veneer?

Re: Is a Trojan a worthy brand to restore
Ready123, that's the kind of woodwork I wish I had! Slowly working towards it, but how nice would it have been to get it from day one. Honestly I'm not sure who Trojan would be competing against. The international series definitely had them moving toward the more modern express style (tiara does com...

Re: Is a Trojan a worthy brand to restore
Yes and no... This is coming from someone who is "restoring" a Silverton, so bear with me. I say yes because at the end of the day I think restoring anything you love is worth doing. I spent a couple hours today on taking an old crappy mirrored panel on my Silverton and adhering a ribbon s...

Re: Free F32
If it's any consolation I might be interested in the radar arch for the right price, assuming it would fit my 34C. I would come pick it up as I'm 2 hours from Boston.

Re: Whats a F32 worth ( project boat)
Paid well under $10,000 for a running Silverton 34C that only needed to be brought back up to snuff from a few years of no real use. I looked at enough $10,000 ones that were runners but sound about as you described condition wise. Sadly this market isn't strong, good for buyers, bad for owners.

Oil or some kind of varnish or clear coat. My last boat I oiled, my new boat has all been varnished.

Re: thoughts on floscans
Floscans in my boat helped me see that between 2700 (just on plane) to about 3200-3300 there was no real difference in fuel usage/miles. Great option to have on the boat!
