Re: tri cabin wiper motor grounding
This was the very 1st problem I discovered on my '87 Tri...... of course while out fishing in Very heavy rain! This is the reason I joined this forum. Seems like within an hour someone told me they were grounded to the windshield frame. At the bottom of the port side frame, directly across from helm...

Re: Holding tank sensor
I installed an Ultra Sonic sensor on mine, came with a remote gauge. I installed the power side to the rocker switch that lights up the stairs leading to the forward cabin. Nothing touching the junk in the tank so it always works!

Re: new owner 89 Tri Cabin
The 87 Tri Cabin is the best of the best! First and last year for the new interior design.
Pretty rare to find one these days.

Holding tank monitor
After my once a year "Holding tank Overflow", always caused by guests using WAY too much water to flush, I decided to finally install a tank monitor. Hearing lots of bad stories about mechanical float arms getting jammed I did a lot of research and found what I think is perfect..... US Mar...

Holding tank vent filter is absolutely the way to go!
The $80 cartridge lasts me 2 seasons and zero need for harmful chemicals.
I learned this valuable lesson many years ago when my (boat farts...lol) caused my sailboat neighbor to start a campaign to have me tossed out of the marina

Re: larger fridge in f36 tri fly
Hello all...... long time no post!! The 2 smaller fridges on my '87 are plenty for long weekends although the port one (without the ice maker), started not getting cold enough a few seasons ago. Dreading having to remove the large saloon hatch to replace it, we just used it to house condiments and s...

Re: Starboard Engine Stalling Without Warning.
Had the same problem on the Genny on my last boat. An old mechanic told me that when an engine suddenly and immediately quits without warning (no sputter, no change in rpm) it probably is the oil pressure sensor. I replaced it and Never had a problem again!

Re: Need Help-Boat Air Quality/Mold Issues
Had this problem 2 yrs ago..... discovered it was the actual mattress we were sleeping on. Original foam that had slowly "Changed" over the years and was holding moisture. Bit the bullit and spent the $$$ on a 6" Queen Swedish memory and problem immediately went away. I also every mid...

Re: Bad smell in 10 meter closet
If your galley sink drain hose is that cheap flexible "Ribbed" kind it can hold bits of food and junk that will start to rot. I replaced all 3 of mine with the good sani-hose.... was an easy fix and never smells or gets clogged. I also pour a little Simple Green in the bilges every now and...
