Re: F 32 cockpit rails
Looking for opinions. What looks better with or with out cockpit rails? My son says I should remove them, but I like to keep boat original. I agree with your son. We have the exact same debate going on here right now between me and my dad. I'm 38, hes 80. Not that age has much to do with this, but ...

Re: Battery wiring
I run 3 group 31's for the house, port engine, and genny.
I run a group 29 for the Stbd. engine. Isolated, save for the crossover switch.

Re: 4" bilge blower repairs
There are no oil ports on mine.......... ..........I am going to take it home to Tucson and have the motor rebuilt. There should be at least a stamp in the housing with an arrow for oil if theres not a port. Might have to look closely. Good plan. I was going to suggest a good electric motor rebuild...

Loud is good. Lets other folks know you are there.
Besides. 671's are loud. Big block chevys only just so much.

Re: 4" bilge blower repairs
The brushes are available for these motors, and they do need to be changed from time to time. There are also oil ports on them to keep them spinning nice and quietly. Really not too much to go wrong here. Long lasting and reliable setup. The 'small' motor Dave mentioned is the head vent, not the bil...

1) Main Harness hesds into the black cover with the reset button on it.
2) Four Phillips head screws on the corners of each AC panel.
3) Almost the same as my manifold. I don't have the seperate generator portion.

Re: Onan raw water pump shaft and seal
When it was running we were getting 85 V ac but could tell not running up to speed. Use a good modren inductive light to check timing (21* but it will float high to about 23* on one side due to the nature of the plunger style points, though I digress... ;) ) and runnning RPM's. Use the 4 cyl settin...

Re: Onan MCCK 6.5
What spec Larry? The key to knowing your MCCK is knowing what spec it is. I would suspect if you have a relatively period correct model you would be somewhere in the spec G range or thereabouts. Something in that range and you would hear a 'conventional' type of starter engagement and starting noise...

FUEL MANIFOLD!!! Sheesh, don't be creepy! :P But really. Whats it look like? Is it a 3 way valve under a deck plate, or is it a serious 500 dollar combination of brass hardware mounted to a bulkhead somewhere??? Maybe something in between? Crossover? No Crossover? Do you use the crossover? Always? N...
