Worth a try for sure. The compressor kicks in for about 2 seconds and the mains blow. I'll only using it in the slip in this 100 degree TX heat. My boat house is covered on three sides and we get no prevailing winds......ugh. I do see, however, Frigidaire makes a small 5000 BTU mini unit that's only...

A/C Issue

I have no documents telling me how to operate the A/C. Currently, I turn it to START, then in about a minute to run. Turn fan to low. However, when I turn the last control to cool, it blows the main breakers. Am I starting it up incorrectly or is my compressor shot? Can a small household room A/C be...

That Sierra kit has dual inlets and outlets. Can one handle both engines? That would sure make life easier and less expensive. One filter, marine rubber hoses in from the shutoff valves and marine rubber hoses out to the fuel pumps.........?

You'd think that it only had to be below the inline to the shutoff valve and the valve itself.

Currently the entire system is all metal lines, even from the shutoffs to the lower filter.....................and they look "old". Proper marine grade rubber as suggested will sure make this a much easier project to mount a new separator. Gets tough when boat is 2 hrs away. Local marinas ...

The lower filter is mounted on the VERY bottom of the stringers. You have to be a contortionist to reach it and I ain't small for sure.

Prowlersfish......could that water seperator kit be mounted on a post just below the shutoff fuel block on the transom? Up where I could see it and service it easily or must it be below carb level? I'd fabricate the post and remount all three seperators up higher.

Let me make sure I understand this............existing metal line from carb to metal inline fuel filter remains as is. The line from the fuel pump side of the inline filter to fuel pump may be other than metal. Line from fuel pump to lower filter may be metal or not (I'd put shielding on any non met...

Fuel Flters - HELP

Where can I buy AFFORDABLE fuel filters for my F28 w/ 318s? Bottom filter is way down in the bottom of the boat and appears to be a filter similar to the ones I've seen on heating oil tanks and the top one is a inline, all metal, with screw in fittings. All fuel lines are solid. Local sources want H...

It almost sounds like it jumped time. I checked the distributor, its tight. The boat hasn't left the slip in almost a year now, only had it to idle just to keep moving the fluids around internally. Maybe it just needs to get out and get a decent run. If it is timing, wonder why it would have changed...

By myself, I can't tell. My exhaust is too loud in the fully covered slip. I'm not comfortable leaving the helm with it running and in gear. Gun shy I guess. When I throttle it ALL the way back, it sorta sounds like an old hit and miss engine. Everything was normal until I started having the initial...

What else could go wrong

Went to work on the F28 and its idle issue on the starboard engine. So as usual I have to full throttle to set the choke and then set it about 1/3. Engine fires at fast idle, and I back it down some. Only now I have a nasty knocking noise that gets louder the lower the RPM. :( . I get a long rod, ho...

My dedicated deep cycle battery only powers the bilge pumps (3 way switched/w indicator lights), my LED nav lights, the backup VHF and a emergency 12v outlet. All on mounted on a separate panel below the OEM panel. Also has a dedicated Blue Seas fuse block right behind it where all is easily accessed.
