Re: Diesels The perfect engines or not ?
One other thought...Handling? The diesel in my opinion is soooo much more responsive around the docks...almost never have to touch the throttle. I felt my gas power was a "lazy" feel around the docks vs. the bite of the diesel...much easier to handle in diesel once you learn how it reacts....

Re: Diesels The perfect engines or not ?
So this is my first diesel boat. I went from a 77 f32 to the jersey, more than 2x the weight approx 30,000lbs, and at cruise, I burn 20-22 gph...21knot cruise. My f32 struggled to get there. Where I was comfortable with revs on the 318's, I cruised about18 knots...burned 24+gph. push them to 3400 an...

Re: New Props for 1977 F30 Express
So not that I can give you much info on your specific application, I did just re-prop. I purchased my boat just about two years ago. I had a set of props on her to start with gave me both great idle speed and great cruise speed. However, I am not a slow cruise guy. So while I was at cruise, I had a ...

Re: Newbie question on draft
Just be careful. Chart depths are not really that accurate to navigate by in the low numbers. If you need 2.5 feet and you are looking at going places marked 3...just not enough room...and if you get in to places where you are close, all it will take is a rock, or a bottle or a sunken log to ding a ...

Atlantic Coast Welding/Speedy Tanks did mine. They had drawings of the tanks. Did a great job for me on my f32 saddle tank replacement about 5 years ago. They are in NJ

Re: Air conditioner for an F32
I installed a 16k Wesbaco in my 1977 f32. Under the kitchen sink and ran the duct up to the salon. Without the window covered, it had a hard time keeping up on those hot muggy August days in CT, but most of the time kept up and at a min kept out the humidity. I loved the unit...easy install, easy wi...

Re: Plumbing Questions F-32
Mine was in the aft compartment right next to the fresh water holding tank, mounted on the deck support, which is where all the plumbing started. I wonder if he converted that pump to your raw water...Mine did not have a raw water pump. I added one.

Re: Through hual valev
I do not think you can do a lot without a diver in the water, and from memory, my 77 f32 t handles I could not find. I ended up doing the same thing on shore when I first bought the boat and ended up cutting them out and replacing with new ball valves and thru hulls. Not an easy task, but mine would...

Re: Batteries / rubber window flap
Batteries are cheap...no matter what, replace them, then you know what you have and know they are good. First thing I buy with every boat I have owned or own. And I replace them about every three to four years, it's cheap money for peace of mind for me.

Re: 1978 Trojan F32 Bridge Dash conversion with new Gauges??
When I did this on my f32 I used Faria gauges...no new senders. I used the SS Chesapeake White...I can send a link to a picture if you would like to see it.

Re: Prop Maintenace Performance Improvent
I have used the zinc grey spray paint on my running gear..and now I only use it on the upper portions of my shafts, upper portion of the rudders and the hub portion and nuts on the props. I see no real difference other than more clean up in the spring when it is all painted. Best way to keep them cl...
