Re: 1987 - 10 Meter Trojan Flybridge Convertible

Boat cost me about $7,000 to get to my dock. ( buy price + some new parts + an hours tow from the intercoastal as I realized coming down from Palm Beach that I wouldn't be able to operate it safely on one engine in the new river ) If someone wanted to give me $7,000 for it I would take it and just b...

1987 - 10 Meter Trojan Flybridge Convertible

Hi all, It's been quite a few months since I've been on the board. In that time, I purchased this boat up in Palm Beach, brought it down to my dock in Ft. Lauderdale near SR 84 on one engine, and have gone through the boat a LOT. At this point I have all the main electrical systems working on both s...

Thanks Everyone

I just wantt to say that I have found this very helpful, and to use the technical term "badass" to actually have people contribute to my issue. I have gotten my towing membership, clarified with them that I would be trying to pilot my boat on 1 1/2 engines, with a fear that the Port side w...

Location location location

She is just south of PGA on the intercoastal. it's a 55 mile run due south to the turn just after Bahia Mar, then 7 miles to my dock in the Riverland Area right across from the boat yards on Marina Mile. Very serious about wanting an extra hand or two. As for the name, my tax return was surprisingly...

Marooned? Nah...

I will probably just take the intercoastal and deal with the few low bridges, in which case, if the STB engine gives out, We drop anchor, bow and stern, and radio for a tow. Won't be particularly fun, but not very dramactic either. Sounds promising though that more than one of you have run on the ST...

Sounds like I'm going to give it a go...

Who's coming with!? lol.... Will stock the fridge with beer and food... All hands on deck! ( for under bridge collision avoidance purposes and boat/dock rubbing down the new river ) Also... and this is a rather drastic but serious thought... what if I had a diver take the port prop off, instead of l...

Maneuvering

The majority of the run will be in the intercoastal between Palm Beach and Ft. Lauderdale. Relatively open water I would say. No sharp turns, or major traffic. The last 7 miles is the New River in Ft. Lauderdale west to Marina Mile. a handful of relatively sharp turns, but as long as I can get it to...

1987 TROJAN 10M FLYBRIDGE - Can I maneuver on one engine??

Just purchased a 1987 Trojan Convertible/Flybridge under the premise that both engines ran but one needed a new starter. Turns out that engine is fully siezed and because it is 60 miles from my home, it's a real pain the neck to work on. I want to run the boat back to my dock to work on it at my hom...
