Re: prowlersfish

Well at least you’ll never be able to say you didn’t contemplate it for a real long time. I haven’t owned Safety Girl for over a year and half now and you were talking about that Ocean back before I sold her. No sir not that Ocean ( what ever ocean that is ? ) While have thought about Oceans . I ha...

Thank you very much. I boat out of grand Haven Michigan. The diagram for my owners manual which I do have, shows three valves. Two valves are nonexistent.
Removed , hidden or never installed ?
Got to love it .

rickalan35 Do you have 3 valves ?

Re: 1996 390 Express fuel selection

I assume no owners manual or the info is not there ? Hopefully rickalan35 will be able to help . You can also trace the fuel lines and see what you have .

I almost forgot congrats on the new boat . :D And what area do you boat in ?

Re: 1996 390 Express fuel selection

The norm is port engine draws off the port tank and starboard off the starboard . in theory the draw would be the same . But no 2 engines are the same so you will see some difference . I have seen some boats that don't have any manual or cross over valves . A anti siphon valve is used , many have bo...

Re: 1996 390 Express fuel selection

I assume you have 2 Tanks ? You should have valve for each tank/engine and maybe a cross over valve . How are your tanks set up one on each side ? Asking as I not sure on how carver did the tanks .

Re: Bulkhead Sealing

X2 on adding a second pump or even 3 . Also when adding the Second pump put it on the other battery . I am surprised they may have only put 1 pump on some boats Dam Bean counters :x I would put it forward myself in the cabin I think mine was just a few feet shy of the v berth if I recall. When you l...

Re: Bulkhead Sealing

There should be a forward pump and water should flow forward as far as I know , the 10 meters engine room is lot different design then your F30

Re: 5 near waterline through hulls

My F30 was a clean machine so it was likely different , But what I remember thru hulls on the side for were bilge pump , sink drains , holding tank vent . water tank vent and shower/head floor drain (went to a pump first ) . If the boat had or has AC you would have a thru for that too . Can you trac...

Re: Bulkhead Sealing

At rest any water comes in flows forward to the front where the front bilge pump is . So no the bulk head is not sealed and has ways for water to flow. The question is how did the waster come in ? A leak ? Heavy rain ? Is the auto pump working ?

Hope there was little damage .

Re: 10 meter mid cabin bilge pump float switch

the rule float switchs seem to be sensitive to mounting sing them for years any angle sideways they seem to stick . After using them for years I no longer a fan of rule pumps and floats . i have been using Atwood pumps with build in floats and have been very happy . If only Lovett would start making...
