Re: Project Trojan 12 Meter International

Shamsul, can you explain what you mean by "oil bath"? I have not heard that term before. On the blowers there are intake and exhaust vents but those should already exist. A lot of diesel boats don't have exhaust blowers though or at least they're not needed. Bob Bob, Thanks for your reply...

Re: Marine Transmission MG 507-A Help please!!!

Sounds like everything turned out well. That would be a tough situation to be in. How far are you from Dubai? My girlfriend just returned from there as she goes a couple of times a year for work. I am following your posts with much interest on the other forum that you partake in. You are very ambit...

Re: Marine Transmission MG 507-A Help please!!!

Thats great! Be very careful about running those engines without being under a load for break in. I was told by numerous DD techs to only run it long enough to set the governor and rack and then put it under a load for a few hours varying the rpm's. They said that the rings will not fully seat when...

Re: Marine Transmission MG 507-A Help please!!!

The blower kit that I had purchased and installed did come with gaskets that I used. I have also read about them being done with sealer and no gasket. Are you able to take a picture of the oil leak and exact location? All Good!!! The new seals of both blowers were not seated properly. Had to change...

Re: Marine Transmission MG 507-A Help please!!!

Just to be clear, are you talking about the blower that is mounted between the engine block and intercooler on the side of the engine or the turbo that is mounted between the intake and exhaust at the rear of the engine? The second engine blower also leaked. I have put in new bearings, new seals an...

How about Delo 6200?? It is classified as CF-2 and available. It can be used for high speed two cycle diesel engines; thats what they say on the spec sheet??? I have to start my rebuilt engines tomorrow. But must get the right oil first.
