Ha- that's nothing. I bought my boat with a broken slider, replaced it, and broke the same window again the first season I had the boat. They pop in and out like any other sliding window or door. My boat had wedges tucked in under the bottom window track to tighten everything up, but that extra step...

Looking for a discussion on oil? try this link http://www.boatered.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=119953 I think you'll find thatyou can use synthetic multiweight where you would not use dino multiweight because the limitations of dino multiweights in marine use don't apply to the synthetics. On the o...

The box is always energized by the battery connected to the engine you are starting. If that battery is completely dead, it won't parallel in the second battery, so you still have no starter power. The toggle switch on the dash allows you to select which battery is used to energize the box, so eithe...

g36- According to my Trojan owner's manual, the solenoids combine the batteries every time you start an engine. If it is in the manual, it must be stock. As I explained in my earlier post, the emergency start switch on the dash allows the energizing of the solenoids by either battery. This is necess...

The little black box (or, in my case, gray) has solenoids which combine both port and starboard batteries for starting. According to my owner's manual, it operates every time you hit the starter switch. If one battery is completely dead, the solenoid won't be energized and the good battery won't be ...

mintregila- I thought the F36 hatches were the same as the F32 hatches. I haven't seen anything in the Bomar catalog that looks remotely like the wood framed hatches on the F series. As you state, they don't have everything listed in the online catalog. Could you let us know the model # to simplify ...

I'm running 16X15s and I need a lot more rpms at cruise compared to when I used 16X16s. I used to cruise at 3100 rpms doing 17.5 to 18 knots with the trim tabs down. I need to turn 3350 to make the same speed with the 16X15s. My guess is the 15X15s will need about 3500 rpms to do the same speed. The...

I have the same problem with the port side of my F32. It looks like there is a rubber washer up underneath between the nut and the 'glass which is supposed to seal everything. I was thinking maybe the nut is loose or the washer is dried out and no longer sealing. I was toying with the idea of runnin...

I'd like to do the same myself, but I would miss the lip on the counters that keeps stuff from falling off. I'm sure the boat companies can afford to have counters with a raised edge made for new boats, because they have the volume. Can something like this be made up on a one-off basis for a reasona...
