Did you remove the studs that the risers bolt up to? and if so do they thread standard clockwise for tightening

1984 Trojan F32 engine replacement
My port Chrysler 360 engine had the piston hitting the spark plugs. It actually broke the center ceramic part of the plugs (5) plugs were smashed. I compression tested the motor and it was deemed the motor needs to be replaced. Has anyone replaced a engine and does the salon glass need to be removed...

Thanks but the Transmission has been removed already, I can probably look at someone else boat and see what direction theirs turns. Did you know anything about the drive shaft ?

Thank you all very much for taking your time to help me with my boat. I ordered a copy of Nigel Calder's Boatowner's Mechanical and Electrical Manual, and I am removing the impellers. Thank you very much I just put a new belts on those units. Do you know of a site where I can order them on line? Are they called raw water pump impellers?

Thank you both for your response. Big D, I did not hear the pump for the sink running when I turned on the breaker for the water pump. Is the pump automatic when you turn on the faucet?
