Re: Any info on a 9 meter

I know the boat that you're talking about. I saw it earlier today. Run.... Not even for free... It's a parts boat at best, and even with that, I mean maybe just hardware. The radar arch is probably ok. I 'm only a few miles from this boat myself and considered asking the owner if he would sell the d...

Re: 10 Meter Sedan Luxury! Vinyl Floor Project and general make over

Thanks! I found a cheap Danby compact refrigerator online for about $180 with free shipping. There is a 110V outlet behind the old Raritan that was there stock, and don't believe that it was AC/DC. I grabbed some 1/2" plywood from Lowes, cut an opening to fit the new fridge, and wrapped it in w...

Re: 10 Meter Sedan Luxury! Vinyl Floor Project and general make over

We did a lot of simple things to update the interior a bit for not a lot of money. We covered the velour panel on the bar with a simple sheet of bead board painted white. $20 Pulled the old ancient Raritan ice maker fridge out and replaced it with a glass front beverage cooler for $180 online. Ditch...

Re: 10 Meter Sedan Luxury! Vinyl Floor Project and general make over

Thank you! I feel like this is a good solution. We use our boat every weekend and have lots of friends come up. We wanted something relatively bullet proof that you could spill a cocktail on, a juice box or a plate of food and easily clean up. I considered a sheet style teak and holly look vinyl, bu...

Re: 10 Meter Sedan Luxury! Vinyl Floor Project and general make over

Upper salon is coming together with a couple of space heaters and a little football on an off season cold day. Couple of photos of the upper salon finally finished. Original settee with a couple of cheap bar stools and an ottoman. The re-fabric'd side panels are curtains from Bed Bath and Beyond tha...

Re: 10 Meter Sedan Luxury! Vinyl Floor Project and general make over

Originally made new hatches thinking that I would carpet the lower galley area and sized the hatches to for carpet to wrap around. Got to make new larger hatches after deciding to vinyl the whole boat. I brought my engine hatches home so that they could be done in the warmth and comfort of my garage...

Re: 10 Meter Sedan Luxury! Vinyl Floor Project and general make over

Old carpet up. Don't think Trojan planned on anything but carpet over their sole, so a little floor leveler was in order

Re: 10 Meter Sedan Luxury! Vinyl Floor Project and general make over

First stab at flooring. We lived with this cheap peel and stick stuff for a year in the upper salon, before deciding to start over.

10 Meter Sedan Luxury! Vinyl Floor Project and general make over

This is a project that I took on over this past winter and thought I would post some pics. We bought this boat 2 years ago next week. It had been abandoned in a bankruptcy by the previous owner for about 5 years and taken over by his marina. We bought it from a couple of retired farmers who figured ...

Re: 11 meter swim platform part 3

This is excellent! Thank you for sharing exactly how you did this! I've been struggling for a while on what to do about a bigger better platform. Looked at teak, jatoba wood, recycled plastic built like a strip teak platform.... Mine doesn't bother me too much until I'm at eye level with it enjoying...

Re: 84 Onan 6.5k Generator won't shut off

It's an older automotive type glass fuse on the generator itself. I broke the fuse by accidentally kicking it. New fuse, problem solved!

Re: 84 Onan 6.5k Generator won't shut off

Went through this last summer.... Likely one of the 3 fuses on the front of the panel. Exact same unit. Can't remember which one. I accidentally kicked one while working on something else. Weirdest thing that it would start and then not be able to shut off!

Thoughts on hump hose?

In an ongoing effort to replace things that I think should just be replaced that are 30 years old on our 10 meter, I am now at the hump hose connection between my elbows and swivel on each engine. At this point, every other rubber hose has been replaced. Last year, we had one blow out at a very inop...

Re: Ten Meter Mattress?

Going through that right now... We pitched the stock stuff about 3 minutes after we bought the boat. First round we made a template out of paper and had 4" seat foam cut to fit for not much money. We threw a queen memory foam topper on top of that. Not too bad for the first two seasons. Current...

Manifolds, Risers, Elbows and Freshwater Adapters...

Circa 1985 10 meter with model 350 FWC 454's. Fairly certain that I still have stock manifolds, risers, elbows, and freshwater adapters. Getting steam from the joint between the manifold and freshwater adapter. Engines only have 400 hours on them. I know that risers need to be periodically inspected...
