Re: Trojan 321 without strainers
My 10 meter has them but were bypassed years ago by someone who inadvetably forgot to drain them for winter and the glass is broken out of all of them. I'm fairly certain that they were a factory upgrade option. I've really struggled with restoring them to duty or just getting rid of them all togeth...

Re: Water in forward bilge
I've been fighting just that battle for a year. Have the exact same boat. Both engine pan bilges drain both forward to the front bilge as well as aft and empty into the bilge under your generator. When sitting, the forward bilge is the lowest point in the boat and any main engine intake will drain f...

Re: 10 meter sedan help
Welcome! I was exactly where you are one year ago. I bought my 85 10 meter sedan out of a farmers field on Craigslist. According to the survey that I fell for that the previous owner had recently had done apparently as a 4th grade class project, she was in awesome shape! The big things for me were t...

Beautiful 10 Meter Sedan in Miami
This is beautiful boat that I found the other day while I should have been working. I emailed the guy to ask how he did the floors. Not sure if he's a member of this forum or not. Really nice job. Based on what I know that I've dumped into mine with this past year's fixing up.....somebody's in for a...

Re: Starboard Engine Stalling Without Warning.
I went down this road and fought it through most of the summer. Had the carb rebuilt, checked the anti siphon valve, distributor, etc. I had an MSD electronic ignition installed by a previous owner. Finally gave up and installed a new electronic ignition box for $239. Problem solved. Could have been...

Re: Anti siphon valve
I know, nobody likes to cut a hole. Theoretically it is probably possible but would be a nightmare. I would like to hear from someone that's really pulled it off. I can tell you that the fuel sender is 24 1/4" back from the lip of the cockpit hatch with about 3" of clearance from the top o...

Re: Anti siphon valve
Thanks everybody for your replies! Turns out, it appears it was the ignition box. Finally just cut everything out, and bought a new digital 6AL MSD box because the analogs were no longer available (at least locally). Could have been bad connections but I was tired of trying things. The new box is wi...

Re: Anti siphon valve
Thanks Mike. Yes, it is one of the older versions. I've seen the newer digital versions and even thought about buying one to see if it solved my problem. That's good to know.

Re: Anti siphon valve
I pulled the anti siphon valve out, cleaned it up with a few shots of carb cleaner, and was able to blow through it in the outflow direction. I assume it's in good shape. Haven't had a chance to lake test it yet. I would do back flips if that actually solved my problem. I thought about the vent line...

Anti siphon valve
Hey guys, I've got an 85 10 meter sedan that I'm pulling my hair out with. My starboard motor is shutting down after about 30 minutes of cruising. It will restart with a good amount of throttle, but only for a minute or two and then stall back out. After sitting for a while, it will run a little lon...

Re: New Trojan Owner
Bob, thanks for the info on the Fusion system. And especially the limber holes. That is Excellent advice! Definitely something that I would not have thought of and exactly what I'm looking for! I did take a picture(attached) of the forward bilge area just to see what type of shape it was in and know...

Re: New Trojan Owner
Thanks Todd, I appreciate the info. I expect little things and probably even a few bigger ones. The hull and stringers checked had good soundings. I will go through the fluids, impellers, hoses, etc just for the peace of mind of knowing that they're fresh. New batteries, updated charger, etc. I may ...

New Trojan Owner
Hello everybody. Just scored a new to me 85 10 Meter Sedan with 368 hours on the Crusader's and 197 on the gen. Of course the boat is a little faded and a little dated, but my wife and I plan to make it awesome. I think that this is a fantastic hull with low hour motors and a great platform to make ...
