Re: Sea Trial this weekend!

Well folks, the 10 meter has made her way home! We took the trek from Cayuga Lake to Oneida this weekend. We ended up having to spend the night on her (7 hour cruise) because we didnt make the last lock in time. I cant remember the last time i slept so well! I caved a little with the Marina. I accep...

Re: Sea Trial this weekend!

Just curious on your thoughts: As mentioned, the marina screwed up and painted the bottom blue. The boat was in brokerage so they don't have a ton of skin in the game on making an error of this sort. That being said, the guy told me he messed up and forgot and then apologized. Instead of having them...

Re: Sea Trial this weekend!

Congrats, that is a sweet looking boat I agree with you on the navy top, although the turquoise isn't terrible, and also with the blue bottom. Mine is also that blue as are many here and it is some colour! Thank you. I dont hate the blue bottom, I just hate it with the teal top! Seems like it...

Signed the papers today... here's a couple more pics... http://i.imgur.com/4L1z8RVl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/inQehs3l.jpg The owner gave me the survey he had in 2000 as well. She looked a lot better back then with the navy canvas! I might have to switch back to that...Also, that darn blue bottom drive...

Re: Sea Trial this weekend!

Well folks, the trail went swimingly. My surveyor said all things checked out. A few minor details like Rickalan mentioned, but nothing i'm concerned about. Those 454s ran strong and purred like kittens...sea kittens. I've begun my list already...canvas, seat uphostery, deck carpet, a good wax job a...

Sea Trial this weekend! Update with post purchase pics!

Saturday morning, the wife and I will be completing a survey and sea trial on a 10 meter! Super excited to potentially upgrade the F27 for a meter boat. The boat has been a dock queen for the last 18 years and only have 600 hours on the original motors. No genset and no a/c. That's my only concern w...

Re: Blinds leading the ... WINDOW COVERINGS?

What about cellular shades? http://tinyurl.com/qz2sntg I don't have any shades on my boat because the windows are tinted dark enough that seeing inside the boat is near impossible. However, If I were to add blinds, I would choose this style. They are light and don't bang around like a lot of the ven...

Re: 10 Meter Combing Boards

It's not the best picture of my Combing Boards, however they are finished wood the same as the boards on top. This was an option and the boat came this way. Do not have to worry about vinyl getting messed up. http://i940.photobucket.com/albums/ad243/flyboyharris/IMG_0179%202_zpsdwleyngo.jpg Any oth...

Re: 10 Meter Combing Boards

Couple quick photos of the pleated vinyl I went with instead of the original three separate cushion style. The original three cushion style can be seen a little further up the boat. I originally redid the vinyl in plain white keeping the three cushion original style. Like I previously said, the kid...

Re: Tight Turns in a Single Screw Inboard

You can 100% turn the boat around in 50ft. My dock is on a tributary that is about 40-45ft wide and I am able to approach with the dock to my starboard and spin the boat to dock on the port. I also spent a week in the canal system up here and there are many areas that are not very wide. I find maneu...
