thanks for the ideas! "Away" getting 400RPM is pretty good i think... I am upgrading my 318's to new edlebrock carbs, and new ignition components, distributor, coils, etc... so I am hoping the engine will purr very nicely, and I can get them down from my 600-500 rpm which should help... th...

I wanted to throw this question out since there are so many smart boaters, trojan owners out there... when i have my 2 318's running at absolute slowest speed (idle) my boat still goes 4-4.5 MPH... which i would like to get down to half that... thanks for your thoughts... the boat went down low enough to cover both engines! the water went high into the cabin - ServePro Cleaners did a great job drying and cleaning inside... smells better than before! lol After draining boat, and getting boat back to normal level at dock, I focused on engine...

I will also be tracing lines, but some were cut and blocked off, so i wanted to know where they might have gone to at one time, so this helps!

thanks!!!! I think i see it under the electronic ignition... as usual , not a great place to get to! engines should do a stint as a mechanic, then design engines!! lol

the prop has this stamped on it: 14 R 11
and they are 3 blade props
