I would use March LC-3CP-MD 520gph thermally protected, can be installed in the engine room and since air conditioning pumps must be installed below the water line (they are not self priming) this pump is liquid cooled and will run underwater. It is epoxy sealed and submersion will not hurt it. New ...

I had a very similar problem, thought it may be water in the fuel. When I got into it I found the reduction fitting going into the tank was cracked and was just sucking air. Replaced it with a 90 cent fitting and no more problems. Look at all the fittings for cracks they can be hard to see.

Sounds like it could also be moisture in the distributor cap. Take it off and look for signs of moisture or a line burnt between the contacts.

I have an 83 F32 was used for a while for trolling low (RPM) port engine has sucked valve and I had the engine rebuilt at 1750 hours. Stb engine has 1850 hours and has no problems. Oil pressure is within 5lbs of the newly rebuilt and I believe this engine would fo 5,000 hours with good maintenance. ...

I had a problem on my 32' just figured it out on the starboard tank. Anti-sypion was OK. Thought it was water I went to pull the pick up tube and found a cracked fitting between the 90 and a reducer into the tank it was sucking air not gas.

I always start my engines just before launch (don't want to get there and they don't run). I only run them for maybe 10 seconds so heat up is not an issue they are still filled with antifreeze. But I do take the belt off so the pump is not run. A short dry run on the pump will quickly burn out the i...

I added dockside water to my F32. I use one of those connections that is a "Y" to run two hoses off one feed. Each hose is shut off by a simple lever on the "Y" when I leave all I do is turn the one on the incoming water to the off position. I can also hook up another hose to the...

I also have a 1973 Sportfisherman (clean machine) what questions do you have? By the way it is a great boat and you'll soon find out it has all the power and speed you need. Just was out to the islands last weekend with 8 on board on plane at 2400 RPM.

The problem with on line ordering is the freight. I have found locally I can work with suppliers to buy Cetol at 32.00 tax, title and out the door.

I had a problem and the pump was fine but when I took off the gooseneck (where the thermostat is located) I found where at one time the impeller had came aprt and pieces were lodged in exits. Take it off and look inside you may find the blockage there only the engine overheats when this is the case.
