The top of the wood has been sanded so many times the stainless cap is right on the edge of the wood and is cutting the lines. I would really like to eliminate the maintenance of the teak and go with a plastic/rubber material.

Hello all, My 1977 F36 is in need of rub rail replacement. It currently has the teak wood with the stainless cap The wood is too deteriorated to refinish due to wood loss. Have you checked the ignition switch. Just had to replace one for the same symptoms.

There is a screw on the end of the door you must unscrew and you can unscrew the lock cylinder. Take it to a lock shop and they can make new keys or just replace the cylinder.

Are you sure the bi metal is installed correctly. A buddy of mine installed his backwards and it closed the choke when it got hot.

Had a buddys Silverton do the exact same thing. we replaced the bearing and the noise is gone. His was hard also and no play.

Take the probes out and clean them. If they are coated with crud or calcium they will stop working. We use them in cooling tower basins to keep the water level correct.

The engines are in a damaged boat so they will come with gears. I have very limited information right now and was wondering if it was worth pursuing. Cost should be very low, less than 5 K.
