Aaron. I have to agree, the guy has been to hell and back, but has trudged on throughout it all. He did not let a little "cancer" get in his way of helping, caring and dedicating himself to the cause. Even when he was feeling down and out, I never read where he did not jump in and give wo...

I have a potentially nasty response, but need to look at it when I am not so tired before pushing button on it. I have extreme issues with anyone selling a boat like that for $2K, unless it is like the one Torcan posted about yesterday that had the fire and sunk (and should still sell for more than...

That really sucks. The boat would have been a Chris Craft Catalina, perhaps mid '80s. I think they shared a hull with Uniflyte. indeed it is the uniflite 36 double cabin/chris craft 362 catalina.... the design was kept, maybe a few tweeks after chris craft bought out uniflite. in uniflite form.... ...

I am assuming that everyone is safe?

Tom
Everyone is safe, no injuries, but a real loss for them. Bob the owner just turned 65 this past year, and this was their dream boat.

Top picture, you see also the damage to the other boat

thats awful... portable heater? Too early to say, and we do not wish to speculate at this time. I will let you all know as soon as we have more details. The owner is also the Vice Commodore of the club. He had spent thousands of dollars this summer upgrading, new wall coverings, ceiling, new Bimini...

Too close to home, Boat fire at CBYC

Last night, at the club where I am, along with RooferDave, had one of our members lose their boat to fire. The owners were liveaboards, and this was to be their second winter on the water. Less than a week before Christmas, this is just cruel. Fortunately, there were no injuries, some heat damage wa...

Thoughts and prayers go out to everyone that has had to endure this unspeakable trajedy. Words, prayers are not enough. I, a grown man as well, welled up with tears for these young souls, as I sat back and looked at pictures of my 2 grandaughters, and my nephew and nieces. Life is not fair.
