Re: What is the lowest point in the engine room bilge on F32

P-Dogg - Actually I was going to do that on my last boat and actually have one of those strainers I had bought at the time. That may still be the easiest way to solve the issue. ready123 - Both my current and my previous F32 had the 3 pump setup 1 fwd under v berth, 1 at the forward end of the engin...

Re: What is the lowest point in the engine room bilge on F32

Thanks for all the feedback. I should have been more clear in my original post. I do have the standard setup of a 1500 GPH pump fwd at the engine room bulkhead and one aft about a foot from the transom. I was hoping to use the 500GPH to pump down to a lower level. I find that the 1500 shuts off with...

What is the lowest point in the engine room bilge on F32

I have a 1990 F32 and want to put a 500gph automatic bilge pump in the lowest point of the bilge. The pump I have now is all the way forward against the bulkhead. I am looking to install it while still on the hard so any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks

Re: Generator

Mine is between the engines as it seems most are. It fits in the location but makes it hard to access the sea valves for the engines. I would look at possibly putting it aft under the cockpit floor on top of the water tank or relocate the water tank. Shifting some weight aft may also help with the f...

Re: Engine synchronizer

Larry, Thanks for the offer. On those i don't think you can tell which is running slow so it takes more fiddling with the throttles. The newer style shows approx how much slower one is running. BigD, Thanks for that link, the 2" pvc pipe option to make a gauge pod may be the way to go if I cant...

Engine synchronizer

Anyone know where I can find one of these? I am looking for a surface mount rather than a panel mount.
Thanks

Canvas Bimini off a 1990 F32

I have a black canvas bimini off of a 1990 F32 I no longer have a need for. It is in fair condition, it has one zipper pull missing and could use a restitch on some of the zippers. It would appear to be made of the sunbrella with the waterproof coating on the back side. I am located in SE CT if anyo...

Winterizing A/C

I found a new way to winterize my A/C system. Maybe most people already do this but I just figured it out. As I was winterizing the fresh water system I hooked a hose to the cockpit faucet. I then used the hose nozzle to push the antifreeze in thru the A/C discharge using the pump on the boat until ...

Re: See anything wrong with this AC install by customer.

Well first of all you need to get more air out of that unit. At least 3 vents for a unit that size. And a smooth a transition out of the unit as possible. Here is a link to an adapter I made for mine: downeastboatforum.com/search.php?searchid=673053 Its all about getting air in and out as easily as ...

Does anyone know what the correct size is? I seem to have a mix of o ring sizes on my boat.
Thanks

Re: Trojan 1983 F32

Yes raw water pump impellers is the name. See the link Jamie posted they can certainly be bought online. I like to order extra gaskets to keep onboard and one extra impeller.

Also you don't want to have the belts too tight. The pumps do not tend to like being side loaded by excessive belt tension.
