Re: Size of the AC unit for an F32

16k next to the fridge under the sink. Remove small door under the 2 drawers and replace with an intake vent. Supply vents as follows: Main line (6 inches I think) goes up thru cabinets to counter top branch line travels under stove with a vent on the counter near stove line continues thru into bath...

Re: Belt adjusting tool

Jaime,
I do not mind if you share it. That was the intent of putting it together. I guess if someone markets it I will kick myself but oh well. Do me a favor and let me know where you post it. I am interested in peoples comments and what other ideas they may have.

Thanks for asking first.

Re: Belt adjusting tool

NICE!! Glad you took the idea and ran with it. On the raw water pumps I tighten them by hand. You really don't want them very tight.

Re: Belt adjusting tool

Took a break from prepping the boat tonight and put together a tutorial on how to make the belt adjuster. My total cost was $2.67 for the turnbuckle from Home depot. The nail and wood block I found in my pile. Feel free to ask any questions. I hope it helps. http://i1292.photobucket.com/albums/b569/...

Re: Belt adjusting tool

Thanks for the comments. The pieces that go into the pulleys are just nails, 20D's I think with the ends cut off and bent. The red is just paint so it will not rust in my toolbox. Give me a couple of days and I will make another and post the steps and materials. I will do 2 different ends 1 for if y...

Re: F36 Tri Cabin - Electrical Issues

Try posting the pictures of your set up. It sure points to a bad connection or a bad cable. I have heard of the emergency cross connect switches going bad. Not sure if you have one of those.

Belt adjusting tool

I made up this tool to adjust my alternator belts. I find it difficult to get the tension I want using a pry bar. Tried it tonight and it worked great. Thought maybe someone else may be interested. http://i1292.photobucket.com/albums/b569/Andyf32/1_zps3e91ae68.jpg http://i1292.photobucket.com/albums...

Re: Spark Plugs

I bought mine thru Summit when ordering some car parts. They had the best price I could find at the time.

Re: F36 Tri Cabin - Electrical Issues

For what is is worth here is what I would do: Disconnect the cabling until you have a direct line from the batteries to one engine and see if it will start. If it does, start rebuilding the electrical connections until it wont start. Clean each connection well as you reassemble the system. Look for ...

I was here in CT spending the day with my 7 year old granddaughter today when I heard the ages of the children who became angels yesterday. I have been avoiding watching the news or reading the paper today. It is just too much to handle.

Thanks for the reply. I will install new impellers in the spring and look at them again in a couple of years.

Sherwood E35 pump question

Is 1/16 to 3/32 of radial movement on a sherwood E35 pump reason for a full rebuild kit? Both pumps have about the same amount of play and the bearings seem to spin fine.

Thanks in advance for the help.

So you met Eric Jensen the Broker. I bought my first F32 off Eric and looked at that boat a few months back. It is a very clean boat, glad you found it.

I almost bought that one but I was looking for one without a lower station so I ended up finding one through a private deal.

Good luck with her!

Thanks for the info.

I have no intentions of running them dry it is just when winterizing I cannot pour as fast as the pumps pull the antifreeze from the sea strainers. I am sure the pumps do not get dry but are just not fully flooded at times.
