air conditioner question again!
I have a F36 that the previous owner installed a King wire 19K unit. Not even close to cooling the boat. I asked before about this and forgot the answer. Some of you have two air conditioners? I'm not worried about figuring out the return air or how to run the duct-Just what size would I need in add...

Re: is this a fair price.
Hey this is a big boat-I posted pics of her bottom here http://www.trojanboats.net/wforum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=8668 I figure somewhere between $3500 and 3700 for getting her down to the base and prep and Paint. That would take me a long time by myself and not worth it for me. I used to do that by...

is this a fair price.
I have the F36 sedan convertible-pics are here. Her bottom needs more than just paint and the recommendation is media blast down to the base. and prep her ready for paint. Price is $3000 Plus paint. What do you think. I wanted the stripe painted but am passing on that. for the stripe--$1500-sounds h...

Re: My boat is in dry dock but?
I know I could inject the rot in her and it would harden but I think I would like to remove them and take a shot at making them from a teak board. Hey! if it does not turn out right then I will think about something else. I want to paint the sliding glass door frame. I just touched it up last year b...

Re: My boat is in dry dock but?
The boat is a 78. They have her uo on blocks and the boat looks beautiful.Classic lines.I was thinking of replacing the splash rails with teak? That build up is only in the from part of the bow. Trying to get full shots of the boat. she looks good and runs great. I just had the inside rugs replaced....

My boat is in dry dock but?
Her Gel coat looks good but her bottom is going to cost me $$$$. Oh Well! I guess they said Media Chip or something to take right down to the bare bones and then repaint her. They are going to give me a few quotes . Sand blasted or whatever filled and painted but they recommended media blast down to...

Re: New problem upper steering
What can I say Prowlersfish thanks for the manual-this makes everything clear. I will go tomorrow and do this. I have been so busy lately-this will make things much easier instead of trying to figure it out. This forum is worth it's weight in gold to guys like me. thanks again. dfg4240 By the way I ...

Re: New problem upper steering
It is in the back like you said Prowlersfish. Two covers on the cockpit.the first is for the generator and the second is the bilge area. tons of room there. right under the cover towards the sliding door side is a plastic container the is shaped like an hourglass with the lower part having a fill pl...

Re: New problem upper steering
thanks prowlersfish I did buy the hydraulic steering fluid but don't have the pump to pump it up but I will get one today.I read about turning the wheel back and forth about twenty to bleed it.the place to add the fluid is at an awkward angle and I want to get a small funnel to ad the fluid.there is...

Re: general question about engine sync
thanks captainmaniac all my helm tachs read the same-all four of them but my digital tac uptop always reads about 120 rpm higher on the port engine than the starboard engine. If my engine tach reads 800 at idle-the digital tach reads 760 on the port engine and 660 or close to it. I usually don't eve...

Re: thinking of getting a portable AC unit
right-I have twin 30 amp. I have not ruled out another marine unit.I would put it under the seat in the dinette on the bedroom side and go up through the back wall there with a double vented output. one register in the dinette and the other into the bedroom, then I would rearrange the 19K one so that...

general question about engine sync
Four tachs on board plus sync indicators at upper and lower station. the lower helm has a small box that has 3 lights and when the engines are in sync the middle one comes on (GREEN). The upper one is the digital and flashes the word sync when engines are close. At idle the starboard engine always se...

thinking of getting a portable AC unit
Went to lowes and saw a few and I was thinking along the lines of a 10,000 btu. Today I was at the boat for awhile and the Kingaire 19K owner installed unit just does not do the job. The air is ice cold but you have to be close to it to feel it and if you keep the door closed-naturally it will cool ...
