OK, thanks guys I think I understand this a little better. Boats built between 1985 and 1992 are in fact Trojans built by Bertram, Bertram-Trojan inc, and in fact can be listed as a Trojan built by Bertram. That's what the tag says. 1960's to 1985 = whitaker inc 1985 to 1992 = Bertram- Trojan inc 19...

Well maybe this will help a little, taken from the Bertram web site- In March, 1985, Whittaker sells part of its interest in Bertram and three other marine companies to Investcorp in a leveraged buyout. The transaction results in Whittaker’s portfolio becoming three newly formed companies. One, Be...

Trojan/Bertram ???????????

I just don't get it, I can't remember how many times I see a ad for a Trojan and the owner for some reason feels his boat is a Bertram. I have even seen a F-32 where the owner felt it was correct to put a Bertram label under the Trojan one on the side of the deck house. Now I know that there was a t...

Welcome to the forum Jimmy, I had a 26 before I bought my 32. I consider the 26 one of Trojan's best models. They called it the smallest "yacht" you can buy, and they were right.

Also I think that all marine engines are 4 bolt mains and a standard street engine is 2 bolt. You can buy marine long blocks rebuilt for around 2,500 with a warranty. I would hate to see you put engines in just to take them out again. this happened to me but the warranty paid for it.

I'm not sure about that bayliner, that was a lot of work. I don't know how much you want to spend but there are a lot of F-25's sitting around for cheap money, I know of one you can buy for 1,500. remove the hard top and sell the boat for a 1,000. You would get a factory hardtop for around 500 bucks

I am not sure if boats can get a "salvage" title I know that the Coast Guard does not offer one but maybe some states do.

A Trojan F-54 at house boat row Key West

The wife and I were looking at the house boats in Key West when I come across a F-54, that has seen better days, note the house AC and the "door" to the wheel house. I have always wanted one of these and I think they didn't make to many 54's http://picasaweb.google.com/missybtwo/TripToKeyW...

I bought the boat in Myrtle beach, then moved it up to Norfolk, VA and kept it at waterside marina for about six months. Then we (me,my wife, and 6 month old son) cruised up to Point Pleasent NJ. Stored it there for 2 years (job transfer) then trucked it down to Lauderdale, the yard cut all the wire...

Photos photos................... and more photos

Well thanks again for the warm welcome. I can't figure out how to post photos in this forum so what I can do is link the web site with them all. It has my old 26 on it (Summer Squall) and my 32 (Summer Storm) I think there is around 600 photos, sorry about that but at least they are in folders so an...
