Re: prop sizing for 36' tri-cabin

my 84 has a removable panel on deck at foot of aft bed. It is the overboard for gray water from master bath. Bad thing you have to pull up carpet to get to it.

Re: 86 F36 Tricabin Toilet issue

+++ on the PVC, I re-plumbed all of mine on the F36 but I used schedule 40 PVC. Clear would be good. I also have separate macerator pumps for both heads that pump to holding tank. That gives 9 gallons in each head plus 40 in holding tank. I also made activated charcoal vent filters for both heads an...

Mine was not hooked to genny either, the charger was colored blue and only had two circuits. I have changed for a genius charger and now keeps all batteries up.

Re: F28 props

Hi Lance,

Did you get that "pirate wheel to work" for your boys.

I will probably have the marina do it as they have a hoist and would be very difficult, not impossible, but very difficult to do it in water.

:D

As Bob said it is my experience with two f28 that they have two of them. behind the setees on each side. One larger and the other smaller.

Re: Drive advice needed - Starboard Velvet Drive failed

Tranny could be pulled back if prop shaft coupler is undone and separated. It will be difficult will need a monkey on one side. If pulled back may be able to see if it is the dampener, but remember you have a bell housing that limits your viewing which I had to remove to9 get the flywheel and dampen...

Re: Drive advice needed - Starboard V-Drive failed

FYI I had to pull a true V drive. It was a paragon drive in my f28. It was pretty tuff and total weight was about 300 lbs. My son and I did it to change out flywheel. It was tough but doable. I have an 84 tri-cabin with 270 crusaders, should have same tranny. They look a lot lighter than the paragon...

Re: Dripless Shaft Seal?

Good Luck, on we first re-packed them as they were regular stuffing box. Did it in the water after calculating water inflow. was nothing that bilge pump could not handle. Shaft is 1 inch and stuffing box is 1 1/8 so sixteenth of inch around shaft, actually believe we could run it without packing as ...

100 total. My new tanks are a trapezoidal shape. I only think they put round ones in there, so yours may have been replaced.

Re: F-28 Fuel sender location

Both of mine had 50 gallon tank on each side, I used every bit of space I had to make the new ones and they are 74 each and if you have round ones no way be 80 gal each. IMO

Re: F-28 Fuel sender location

I can send a picture when I go to lake again but not sure when that will be. Having had two f28 I can tell you the inspection ports are round plywood and are located left and right of the steps into the salon. Assuming the original salon seats are still there they are under the seats if not you will...
