Re: F30 twin 225 's rotation
According to Bob most of our boats that were single shaft used Reverse Rotation Engines. I have agood 225 Chry electronic fired Reverse engine, that is sealed and was working fine when I replaced engines as the other side went out and I had both. So saved the Reverse Rotation 900 hours. If anyone ha...

Re: BREAKER!!!BREAKER!!!
the old tube fuse bar eh. Yeah they suck especially for high current draw such as bilge blower(s). Not sure about rivet getting loose but they will heat up and become less conductive and heat more till fuse gives. All can rewired to a blue water fuse panel with the newer type fuses but will be a pai...

Re: Water pressure
Don't know about pressuring the tank could be done but in my limited experience with 28s and a 36 the pressure comes from a demand pump that pumps up pressure and and shuts off. When you turn on water the pump senses lower pressure and begins to pump. I replaced my faucets/shower etc and helped a lo...

Re: Mysterious Dash Switches
having two f28s the small wires were Pea lamps for lighting various warning devices. I was before LEDs and they used Pea lamps. I ripped them all out and set up a different instrument lighting system. The Pea lamps usually indicated bilge pumps, running lights on etc.

Re: What have I gotten myself into ....
My 84 mid-cabin has water hook up on top of transom as well as water fill and careful gas fill. I replaced the Blackwater tank as old one was not serviceable to me, I replumbed all lines using hard PVC as it holds odors better. rebuilt both macerator pumps and now all is okay. Blackwater tank has no...

Re: Dripless Shaft Seal?
my v drives have dripless shaft seals and no leaky, they work fine. I had them installed when I repowered due to the difficulty getting to them in the V configuration. I used PYI PSS dripless seals. Just google dripless seals and you will see pictures of many types.

Re: Mystery Lights? onan Genset parts
I had an extra large red light that I installed in dash and repurposed it to alert me that the bilge blower was on. Once engine started you cannot hear them run.

Re: fresh water pump,macerator pump
My toilets are different but I have two macerator pumps and have rebuilt both of them, parts are available. I re-plumbed both my heads using schedule 40 pvc which solves the odor permeability of flexible hose and rebuilt jabsco macerator pumps. Note wore rubber gloves until old nasty hose removed as...

+++ on carbie issue. Power piston in the carbie if opens it or it is stuck open will cause that. The quadrajet symptom is that the throttle mixture screws seem to have no effect.

Re: Crusader Carb
I bought a book on q jet carbs. They are fairly simple just need to be complete and get a kit that goes for your carbie. Buy the book Rochester quadrajet carburetors by cliff ruggles. He also sells kits etc. It is very important to have the correct power piston spring so the engine will not idle ric...

Re: 3200 RPM Max, 225hp LM318....
I have an F28 with twin 318s and it has, I believe the orginal 14x11. As I had a parts f28 I had two extra props and had them cut back to 14x9. I had the same problem and hope this fixes it. I have not tried the 9s yet but looking forward to your or my results.
