better match what you have!

Take the remaining good prop off and match it!

If you don't like it - then buy a pair of matching props. If you don't know what to buy - eMail bme your weight, power, etc. and I'll run it through a prop calculator for you.

my 1974 F32 lists some

My 1974 F32 lists some as well. The Stbd tank is 5 gals larger - and the water heater tank is there, but then I have stove and fridge on the other side - perhaps the galley on stbd? Not sure why it lists, but I attributed mine to being docked on the stbd side, whihc doesn;t account for slight list w...

ANyone know what Shaft material Trojan uses in 1970s?

agreed - ts probably not SS 304 or 316. I have 2 surveys on my 1974 Trojan F32, and neither states shaft material as anything other than simply "Stainless", as surveyors cannot easily determine this (or if at all without damaging the shaft?). Does anyone know what shaft material Trojan use...

RESALE

Resale value and speed of sale is always better with a diesel. So you might pay $15k more, and save a few $ operating the vessel, yet be able to reoup the $15k (or more( fully when you sell in 5 years or so. The gas engines will be even older and less desirable then - whereas age/hours are not a as ...

The 454 will be FAR superior to the 350

as torque is king in a boat. What carb will you use? Get a marine Quadrajet if you can (I know that others willdiasgree, as they require a bit of setup, but just buy a carb kit and you're done.). Its ais a "spread-bore", menain the primary bores are dinky (fuel efficent!) and the secondari...

GOOD POINT

prowlersfish - good point on the fuel burn. Gas will be more - probably 25% more or so.

I have purchased about a dozen different props on eBay - only 1 stinker so far. The feedback is important, so check that!

LH 12x10's are hard to find though ...

Prop Calculator says 12x10, but ...

204HP, 1:1 drive, inboard 23' waterline lenght avg. planing hull Max speed w/ 14x7 3 balde cupped prop is 29knots @ 4,500 RPM @ 12 gal/hr. & Cruise is 13.5knots @ 2500 RPM @ 2Gal/hour (nice!) For your 1:1, it recommends a 12x10 3 blade cupped prop. Best case would be a 15x16 with 1.6:1 reduction...

F32 Fuse Diagram?

Does anyone have a fuse diagram for a 1974 F32? I would appreciate it, as I want to make a label for the electrical panel door, and hate to have to go through and test every fuse to determine what they are for.

Thank you in advance.

Polplanar speakers are great - there are

a number of marine stereo mfgrs ( I boutght a Pyle for one of my boats) have remote controls for all functions, so you can mount the remote keypad on the back deck or bridge and have control outside while the stereo stays inside. They dont't hmake Marine (or car perhaps) stereos that play MP# format...

I'd love to claim it worked, but ....

I've still got a leak - I believe its from the rotted out frame/screws for the flybridge inner panels - will replace soon with aluminum rails and new screws with 5200. The leak is geting old (and cold in winter). Any other ideas? I may drill holes near the rear as someone suggested.

boatdiesel.com is the best source to find out

I have 2 friends with DDs. One replaced the DDs with Volvos in his Bertram 42. It was an "oil slinger". The other has had good luck with a pair of 6v71s in his Hatteras 40 - but did need a rebuild last year as the heads were warped. Not my favorite, but I'm looking at a boat with a pair of...
