Have a large family, anybody have any idea of what is the safe limit, would be doing a day trip max 5 hours on inland water way. No water more than 1 foot.

That's what I would call neglect on the swim platform. I had mine planned down both sides 1/64 at a time till we got to new wood. Then refinished with 4 coats of natural CETOL. Built a new bow pulpit over the winter in the same style as the swim platform and used West System 105 epoxy and stainless ...

You need to remove the upper and lower plastic channel, then you can tilt them out.

Re-Did all if mine. Sanded through 150 Grit ie 80, 120 and 150. Did it this way with lite coverage of each to minimize swirl marks, then refinished with CETOL natural.
