Re: Starboard Engine Stalling Without Warning.

""Now today was different. It ran for maybe 20 to 25 minutes, then stalled. I attempted to restart it several times, in which it would stall immediately. After about 10 attempts, it ran when I pumped the throttle to full throttle, it gave a few stumbles, it then ran perfectly. After about ...

Re: What carburetor for a crusader model 350?

Todd, in my opinion.....Qjets all day long. As far as finding a rebuild individual you're going to have to find someone at least 50 years old. With all due respect to more "youthful" technicians they generally have little or no experience as fuel injection has been everywhere for at least ...

Re: WD40 on battery terminals?

If you want to save the cost of a nut splitter take a small thin metal hacksaw and gently cut through the side of the nut until you just see the tops of the threads of the post. Then take a thin bladed screwdriver and pry open the slot you just made in the nut and it should break apart.

Re: Southern Ontario Memebers

Here goes my hat into the ring. Leaving tomorrow morning and headed into the Trent. We and two other (non Trojan) boats are headed out for our first week. Will be in Orillia Wednesdayish. Then splitting up later in the week as we are going to stay at our son's home in Keswick. His home is on one of ...

Re: USB Charger

This is not intended to be an insult but if you are asking that sort of question you really should be getting the assistance of an expert. Dabbling in electrical issues when you are unsure can spell some nasty results. Having said that and you are still determined to continue you have to first decid...

Re: tach has the jitters

Hey Mike. I agree with checking connections at both ends, both the terminal and the wire into the terminal as well. Does your system have a signal wire only or a "modual" at the coil. Sounds like maybe someones getting hot. If no "modual" and connections are good you may try swap...

Re: Wet exhaust system

Oh yes, found them. Most were cracked and applying no tension. Only two knobs broken off. The other impeller none broken, just cracked. You are right, you don't want those guys finding inside.

Re: Wet exhaust system

The last time I had an imbalance in exhaust water flow I found the one water pump impeller paddles were missing or cracked. Changed both at that time.

New neighbour

Arrived at the marina tonight and lo and behold I have a new neighbour in slip E-16. A very nice Tri Cabin finished with blue and so far no enclosure just a cockpit cover. Who are you?

Re: Southern Ontario Trojan Rendevous Just Dates and Local

Yes, whenever you plan a huge outdoor event like Nascar Talledaga, Woodstock, Airshows or a Trojan Rendezvous and weather is a factor you should have a back up plan. Last minute will be the decision point. How much lead time Jimbo needs, he may want to comment. Out on the hook if weather takes a tur...

Re: Southern Ontario Trojan Rendevous Just Dates and Local

My bet is that most of us "locals" have the "I want my boat in the water" itch, and have turned their attention to prepping.
I think once our bottoms are wet the posts will swing back in the direction.

Ok Fellows. Shell we keep this a rendezvous discussion with suggestions and not opinionated or else it's going to end up in the ditch. Both suggestions are great and have pluses and minuses. Let's move on.

Re: Southern Ontario Regatta Just dates available and locati

I agree with Mike, that there are probably many who are not on this forum. There are 4 other Trojans in our marina and at least an F-32 in Beacon Bay who may or may not be "in the loop". They may not be aware of what is brewing until a poster shows up in the washrooms or bulletin board. ( ...

Here we go!

I like my Garmin 740S touch screen. Does everything I need and want. Large enough for me. Easy to see, easy to understand, easy to run.
