I'm afraid I'm going to side with Michael on this. Bay Moorings is about 10 minutes, at fast idle, away from my marina. Up the coast or down the Trent, either is good with us. But if Jimbo's marina is a meeting place, destination decided and go from there, that works.

I have, in the past, used them to tie a small burgee to the VHF antenna. If they didn't break mid to late season ( 3-4 months ) they were done by haul out.

First and foremost do NOT remove the anti-siphon valve. It is there for one very good reason. If the fuel delivery system is compromized that valve prevents the gas from syphoning into the bilge.
