Re: New cabin vinyl turning pink!!!

Todd, a few comments about the "Pink" I had that in the past but never knew what the source was until doing a lot of research. Didn't matter what I tried as far as cleaners go that Pink was here to stay because it was more or less "poop" from some damn critter we couldn't see. Th...

11 meter express found on Craigs list in Illinois

Anyone looking for an 11 meter express? I wish I had a wider dock. I'd be all over this thing and never look back at my 10 meter.

here is the link.

Re: Shaft Packing

Do you have a tool to dig the old packing out? They sell them at West marine for a few bucks and it makes it easy to dig in and remove the old packing before you add the new stuff. When I couldn't find my tool I used a spring removal tool I found at Harbor Freight. When you cut the packing cut it on...

Re: Stereo amplifier

Dig D, the batteries are isolated with a battery switch. The boats is in storage for the long cold Chicago winter so no pictures available right now. I used 00 gauge battery cable to run from the main battery box to the switch and then again to a buss bar used to power the amplifiers. These cables a...

Re: Stereo amplifier

On my 10 meter Mid Cabin the amp(S) are mounted in the closet just to the port of the stairs leading down to the salon. In the rear of that closet are two 1000 watt amps to run the 8 speakers in the cockpit. Two permanently mounted in the arch facing down and two more on the arch on articulating bra...

Re: Window seal

You might try Kendor Marine. They are near Milwaukee Wisconsin. It might actually be Franklin Wisconsin. They have a presence on the web so they should be easy to find. They carry a ton of stuff from all different manufacturers that have either over produced stuff or gone out of business. It's like ...

Re: Man survives 3 days at bottom of Atlantic

I was a rescue swimmer in the Coast Guard during my early twenties. I can tell you for sure I would have Sh-t myself if I was the one who found him and he grabbed my hand after I grabbed his. This is an amazing story. Like someone else had said... I cant imagine what was going through that guys mind...

Re: USCG Documentation ~ educate me

In Illinois it doesn't save you anything on the yearly registration fees with the Department of Natural Resources but like someone earlier mentioned a lot of banks require you to document. after the initial fee which is mostly profit for the lender the annual documentation renewals are free as long ...

Re: Fresh water ?

If you never hear the fresh water pump kick in have you considered that it might be between the holding tank and the pump?

Good luck.

Re: Need a Litte Personal Advice - Move a 1990 F32?

My brother recently had the same dilemma. He has a 33 Cruisers that he has had almost since new on Lake mead. He was moving back to the Chicago area and couldn't decide to transport or sell and start over. (he has a 10 yr history with his boat) Ultimately he decided to transport the boat for a few r...

You can save a few gallons of anti freeze by draining your hot water heater before adding anti freeze to the fresh water tank. If you have a ice Maker be sure to disconnect the water supply and run to you see pink as well. I do y engines the same way you do. I prearrange a Monday morning haul out an...

Re: Removing the lower helm from an f32

Why Not remove the wheel and streamline everything? You can always throttle steer in a pinch as long as the rudder is amidships. When I am docking or in close quarters I rarely touch the wheel and use only shifts and small throttle adjustments to put my 10 meter wherever I want it to be. Takes a lit...
