Re: Diagram needed
Congrats on the purchase. You are going to love the 12 Meter. You did say that you have the 12 Meter MY so I assume you have the ACMY and not the Convertible. Shams has the convertible so a lot of the wiring will be the same. but a lot will be different also. I do have all of the original documentat...

If it is the F36 out of Buffalo that I am thinking of, you got a very nice boat.
I couldn't believe it took this long for someone to purchase it.

Re: Marine Transmission MG 507-A Help please!!!
Sounds like everything turned out well. That would be a tough situation to be in. How far are you from Dubai? My girlfriend just returned from there as she goes a couple of times a year for work. I am following your posts with much interest on the other forum that you partake in. You are very ambiti...

Re: Marine Transmission MG 507-A Help please!!!
Thats great! Be very careful about running those engines without being under a load for break in. I was told by numerous DD techs to only run it long enough to set the governor and rack and then put it under a load for a few hours varying the rpm's. They said that the rings will not fully seat when ...

Re: Engine Rotation
Contrary to popular belief, In my experience I have found that the impeller will flip itself to the proper orientation as soon as you start the engine.

Re: Marine Transmission MG 507-A Help please!!!
The blower kit that I had purchased and installed did come with gaskets that I used. I have also read about them being done with sealer and no gasket.
Are you able to take a picture of the oil leak and exact location?

Re: Marine Transmission MG 507-A Help please!!!
Just to be clear, are you talking about the blower that is mounted between the engine block and intercooler on the side of the engine or the turbo that is mounted between the intake and exhaust at the rear of the engine?

Re: Marine Transmission MG 507-A Help please!!!
I see you stated that you are going to start your rebuilt engines. Make sure you pre-prime the oiling system on them first before you crank them for the first time. That way you will have instant oil pressure. Also make sure you draw a vacuum on the fuel system to purge all of the air or you will be...

Re: Marine Transmission MG 507-A Help please!!!
I don't like that the sulfated ash content is 2.4. That is much higher than any CF-2 oil that I am used to. I see it does say: With regard to high speed, two-cycle diesel engines, Detroit Diesel has a strong preference for low sulfated ash lubricants. However, for high sulfur fuel applications, Detr...

I've NEVER seen a 10 meter without a bow pulpit. -The rails look odd.....RWS Looks like the pulpit was removed as you can see right where it was mounted and the line that is left from where the edge of it was located. Looks like you can also see where the wires were cut that used to run up under it.

Re: Marine Transmission MG 507-A Help please!!!
I forgot to mention, you can use whatever straight 40 weight CF-2 rated oil that you end up using in your engines, in your transmissions also.
