what prop of F36-3 or 4 blade
I have seen some and read also that some have three blades but mine has four on my 1978 with 440 engines and right now I am waiting for my owners manual to come in the mail to see if it has anything on props that came with the boat. I know the port one on my boat needs to be reworked but I may as we...

Re: Port Engine Power Loss
I apologize to you for some of the things I said to look for. I read your whole post and realize now that you said everything ran fine with a separate fuel supply so forget the engine and it is from the tank to the carb intake. For me it would mean that if they both run on the same tank then it mean...

Re: engine vibration around 3100 RPM
I just remembered that I think the prop size is stamped on the prop itself and if I remember somewhere that they were 20X21 props which means 20" across the prop and moves 21" in one revolution theoretically. I think that is what it means. This is for my F36 with 440 engines.I never found o...

engine vibration around 3100 RPM
Hi I left seneca lake and went about 70 miles to the port of oswego and then another 55 or 60 miles to the genesee river where it empties into Lake Ontario. The engines ran beautiful and cool all the way around 20 MPH form Oswego to the river. When I pushed her to the 3000 range,I felt a vibration i...

Re: Port Engine Power Loss
Sorry-I didn't see where it ran ok with a portable tank. Timing chain has other symtoms also like rough idle and intermittent stopping, power loss and valve noise. I know this has nothing to do with it but my daughter had a hyundai which ran great and then lost power and slow down and she would have...

Re: can't find switch for light on transom over swim platfor
It is right on the back of the transom near the top of the transom-I thought it was a separate light just like the one over the door and on the inside of the cockpit.
I will check tomorrow and turn on the navigation light switch.
thanks.

can't find switch for light on transom over swim platform
I have a switch for the light over the sliding door and for the cockpit side lights but don't know where the one for the swim platform is.

Re: F36 Overheating both engines
sounds strange to me. both engines doing the same thing tells me it is not thermostats or manifold or risers. I've heard of overheating due to timing being off but both at the same time is hard to believe. I replaced my starboard manifold and my boat runs cool and infact running the whole way from o...

Re: F36 sliding door paint
ok thanks My boat is out and stored indoors already so I have time now to jump on all the little things that need to be done instead of waiting until next season and rush to get everything done. cleaning up the outside is going to be a big job and she needs it bad.I am replacing all the fenders and ...

Re: F36 sliding door paint
The paint is dull but there is one spot where it peeled and I was wondering if I have to sand it before I primer it or can I just go and use rustoleum?
thanks
thanks

F36 sliding door paint
anybody ever paint these doors and boat trim (Black)
they look dull and I have to replace the lock. I thought it would be another project for me when she comes out of the water as well as take off the swim platform and bull pulpit to sand and refinish.

Re: fron seneca lake to oswego to the genes river with the F
thanks I think this is where I will stay- Nice location and restaurants galore all around here. One thing though is when I backed in I damaged the vent on the port side and I know I saw them somewhere. It's the vent towards the middle of the boat-I think it is inline with the head. I have part numbe...

fron seneca lake to oswego to the genes river with the F36
Hi The trip took two days and it was beautiful. We stayed overnight at baldwinsville where they had dockside water and electricity. $5 charge-just put it in and envelope and into a drop box with your boat number. We were up at 4:30 AM and went to a 24 hr diner on genesee street. 1950's style diner wit...
