Looks pretty good. Is it a clean machine? Heck for $2 that could be a nice project boat.....if the engines could be rebuilt....if not, one would need to be able to do the engines themselves or they could easily put another $10K doing engines alone......

Welcome to the forum. It's nice to see another 30 sea raider, not many here. My 1972 30 sea raider was re-decked by the previous owner. He replace the teak foredeck with mahogany plywood, sealed and painted. I could probably round up some pics if that would help...........John

Doubt if you will be able to find parts, but you never know......try an RV supply place, you might find a close replacement. Good luck......John

What is the HP rating on the dink? I would look for something close to that. I bought a 15hp rude, I was originally looking for a 9.9 until I found out they weight the same. Probably more HP than I need but you don't have to use it all.......right?........:). John

This has been a good informative thread (as usual). Got me doing some research and I've discovered most 2 stroke 15hp weight the same as the 9.9s. I was looking for a 9.9 but am going to check out a rude 15hp this morning. It will go on a 11 foot inflatable rated for 15hp. Is any one familiar with t...

I am currently going through the same process. I'm going to buy a new soft bottom (high pressure floor) 11' dinghy. I had a 10 foot hypalon and used a 7.5 2 stroke merc.....it worked OK with just me in the boat (225lb), planed nicely but I always thought a couple more HP would be good. I still have ...
