The pulley and shaft seemed to wiggle inside the pump housing and everything else seemed secured so I pulled the pump back out. With the impeller removed there is a great deal of play in the shaft. Should the shaft be pretty constrained in the housing without the impeller in?

I'll try putting some more tension on the belt tonight and see if that alleviates the problem and I'll double check to make sure everything is good and tight.

thanks!

Raw water pump wobble

I noticed that the pulley on my Sherwood E35 raw water pump will intermittently wobble. It will run true for a few seconds and then wobble for a few seconds. I removed the pump, checked the impeller, and reinstalled the pump and belt. I didn't see anything wrong with the impeller or pulley. My first...

I used McMaster p/n 93085K12 to successfully fix my hatch seal. 10 feet of this will be much cheaper than anything from West Marine.

Level sensor makes sense... there are two "3/4" and "full" indicator lights by the head that do not work.

I was hoping to avoid having to pull any hoses off of what I believe is a full tank but looks like I'll be plugging my nose and diving in this evening.

Waste Holding Tank Vent Line

I had the marina attempt to pump out my waste holding tank for the first time yesterday. They told me that they were able to get about 5 gallons out before it stopped flowing. They thought there was quite a bit of vacuum being developed in the holding tank and suggested that it may be caused by a cl...

Turns out the check valve in the dock freshwater connection line was jammed shut. I poked a small rod through it to break it open and that solved the issue. Anyone have a recommendation for a in-line filter to put at the inlet connection? Will any old RV in-line filter work fine? How about a treatme...

Freshwater system connection

Hi all, I recently purchased a 1985 10 Meter International Sedan and am having trouble figuring out how to connect pressurized water from a dock hose to feed my freshwater system. I found the hose input connection on the port side by the washdown outlets and connected the hose along with a pressure-...
