Could the cover be warped from overtightening? Happens sometimes.

Just a note of caution; I've ran into more than one surveyor that was not happy to see a braided section of fuel line installed as they cannot tell what type of line is under the braid. It then becomes a red flag on the survey.

I agree with Jerry. Final alignment should always be done after the vessel has been splashed but do what you need to do on land first to get you in the ball park. I like to let them settle in the water for at least 24 hours. If the shaft is not aligned in the bearing, longevity will depend on use an...

Roofer, check out this web site and give them a call. They are in Mississauga. May be worth your while to join the co-op, they have great prices.

A collapsed hose is definately not a good thing and should be replaced. Is it just aged or the wrong type of hose? The proper hose will not collapse. Do you have fresh water cooling (closed system with heat exchanger and antifreeze) or raw water cooling?

I agree with the temp gun. It's also important to note that it's not uncommon for one manifold to run hotter than the other. On Mercs for example (those black engines!), port side usually runs hotter (with front of engine facing the bow, it's a porting and flow thing). How much hotter than the other...

New Kid On The Block

Hi guys/gals. I've had our Trojan for 10 years. Lots of fun. She's always been very reliable. Currently in the middle of quite a few upgrades. I've enjoyed reading your entries over the past little while, some I agree with, some not. I'm new to the forum thing but not boats, so I hope I can contribu...
