454 Oil pressure switch

Looking to install a oil pressure switch for electric fuel pump shut off. Any locations other than existing sending unit on left side of block ? Did not want to tee off that if I did not have to. Motors are 1989 454 Crusaders, already have new pressure switches just trying to look for a clean instal...

Re: 10 meter trim tab question?

Replaced mine with 24x12 bennets with the drop down fins and have been happy with them. Going slightly larger should be fine as I run tabs fully down at cruise with my set up. It seems as hull design makes it difficult to keep running angle down to efficent levels. Give a shout out to TABMAN on this...

Re: prestolite dist. electronic conversion???

Have been using coil in cap distributors for past 2 seasons and noticed a huge improvement.
Easy starts, smooth idle and good timing curve in reaching cruise. As Paul said AAA marine makes these.

Re: 1985 10 Meter International Exp. - Bleeding Hydro Steeri

Leave the fill cap on when doing this. The bleeder screws are in the center of the nuts at the reservoir. Believe the nuts lock the screws in place, also keep the level and pressure up when doing.
It will take a few tries to bleed all the air out.

Re: 1985 10 Meter International Exp. - Bleeding Hydro Steeri

There are (2) air bleed screws located at the bottom of the reservoir, find these first. Turn the helm slowly in (1) direction (2 to 3seconds a revolution) about 40 times. Now crack open the bleeder screws and tighten when solid oil appears.Check the oil level in the reservoir and the pressure (shoul...

Crusader risers and elbows

Getting ready to remove/replace existing ones and have a couple questions. Do I drain the system (FWC) so as to not leak into exhuast during removal ? And on installation, what gaskets are needed to seperate FWC from seawater ? And last, should I replace all bolts or reuse and where do I find a sock...

Re: OnBoard Entertainment Electronics -Thoughts

Also agree with Yorklyn,go on line to Crutchfield to design a system. I have bought a few stereo systems thru them with good results. They also can help with selection as to what exactly you are looking to do. I replaced the stereo in my 10 meter when I bought it (7 yrs. ago) with a Kenwood unit but...

Re: 1987 10 meter mid cabin complete restoration.

Todd, I noticed in the pic of the cockpit by the rear corner engine hatch there is a access hole. Is this for fuel sending unit access ? I seen another boat listed for sale with the same set up, of course my fuel sender is dead and can not get out from under the deck. Seeing your pulpit makes me thi...
