Chrysler Top Hat Thermostat
We often get asked about how the top hat thermostat works and is installed. Here are a few pictures. Note: Inside the thermostat housing is a seal -- that seal must be in good condition. If not, you will need to replace the housing. We have the Top Hat thermostat gasket and the thermostat housing in...

Re: 1976 Chrysler 318 CW and CCW distributors
Both distributors are the same. The clockwise 318/360 has a collar which keeps the distributor drive gear in place. Without the collar, it would ride up and wear the cam gear as it would not be fully engaged. Engine direction is always from the flywheel. Setting on the drive looking forward. An auto...

Re: Bulkhead Sealing
In 1976 there is a good change she had only one electric bilge pump. There would also be a hand bilge pump in the hanging locker. We would suggest you put another electric automatic bilge pump in center of the boat use the hand bilge pump thru Hull for the plumbing of the water out. She should have ...

Re: Considering a 1986 F27 but...12MPH top speed?
For clarification Trojan Yachts was never a division of Bertram. Both company’s always remained completely separate. The only connection between the two company’s was the capital venture company that brought both boat company’s in mid 1985. (Invest Corp, an Arabian Investment firm, purchased both co...

Remember to change your impeller(s)
Don’t let this happen to you. Now is the time to change your impeller(s) before the season starts. On an open or closed cooling system -- if you blow a impeller you need to find every piece before installing a new impeller. The general rule: Most manufacturers recommend every two years. It's probabl...

Re: AC replacement-10 meter sedan
There is not enough room in the overhead in the salon of a 10 meter sadan to but a self contained marine AC unit up there. If the compressor is bad just change it out. A new compressor will come with a new thermostat controls. You would not need to put new copper lines in. Changing out the compresso...

2020 Burgee are now in stock
Yesterday we received the Trojan burgee order placed almost three months ago. Since 2014 we have discounted the Trojan burgees so that each year every one can afford to proudly fly a Trojan burgee. The Burgee is high quality, two sided. Each letter, the head and the border are stitched to the liner....

Flush Door Locks
Many of the Trojan F boats from 1970 to the early 1980s had flush door locks on the cabinet doors and anchor locker. The original Trojan flush door lock is no longer available. We thought about having more made but recently found an excellent replacement which is more attractive and less prone to br...
