It seems to be running better today and is keeping the cabin cool in the heat of the day.

As long as it can keep it up without frequent servicing then I'm happy.

Only time will tell if it has a more substantial problem/leak.

The temp probe was in the correct place , At least that were mine are . Your temp probe is between the filter and up against the unit? It seems to me the metal of the cooling unit is going to be much cooler than if the temp probe is on the front side of the filter. It was on the front side when I t...

Finally got the a/c tech out to recharge the system. Cost me $85 service call + $30 for the gas and took him about an hour. He said it was a real pain getting to the fill. It seemed cooler last night, but the thermostat indicated it was much cooler in the cabin than I think it was. The compressor ke...

I've used it to repair tears in my bean bag chair.

It is still holding strong. It didn't go on easy because it was not a flat or easy tear.

Give it a try. What do you have to lose?

I looked up the surf temp and it ranged from 85-90. My home dock is in the canals inland a bit and im sure the temp would be higher here than at the beach.

Water flow is good as I replaced that particular $300 pump a few weeks ago. Water temp isn't any higher than normal 85+ degrees. I'm in south Florida where it is always hot. What I would really like is to add a unit that blows at the helm. But I don't see spending the money for that. I'll get a AC t...

Lunaire AC

My Lunaire AC unit can't seem to compete with the 100+ degree cabin and the 93+ degree days. It was fine last summer and I really didn't notice any problems over the winter. It is blowing coolish air, but won't get the cabin much below the outside temp. I've never had it serviced or recharged in the...

Floating

Floating off of Ft Lauderdale today I wondered to myself if I should include a full tank of gas on my personal financial statement?

Now that's a major investment!

I took a nice run offshore today to do a bit of snorkeling/floating about.

Boat ran fine with no further oil issues.

I guess it was just the filter leaking.

Thanks for the input.

To close this issue out, it was the pump. The new pump was too big and was causing issues. I replaced it with the same Parmax 3 I took out and all is in working order.

Thanks for the input.

New filter on and added a bunch of oil. At the dock it appears to be holding the oil and I don't see any leaks. I'll have to take it out for a bit more of a cruise before I'm sure that was the problem. Oil was not changed recently. I'm hoping the filter was my problem. I will keep a sharp eye on the...

Underside of oil filter is covered in oil.

I'm replacing that, filling it up and I'll hope it's something that easy.

It's always possible that the two issues are unrelated and just coincidental.

454 issue

Took a little cruise Monday evening. Kid was driving and I wasn't paying too much attention to the gauges. I happened to take a peak to see my port temp gauge pegged over 240. I shut it down and looked below to find lots of coolant and oil in the bilge. Mechanic comes out on Wednesday. Oil was only ...
