missing mystery part
The top of the gunwales on my F26 hardtop have diverters in place to keep rainwater from running down into the cockpit — maybe one by two by six inches long, slanted to channel water overboard (effective). One is missing on my boat (might be the boatyard, or maybe me — not sure how long it was missi...

Re: 360 does not run at idle
might be the choke sticking. Some carb spray for the jets (sometimes helps), and some WD-40 for the choke linkage.

Water separating filter? May need to empty the canister.
Might do a compression check.

Very nice! Think you will see some teak, laminates, and vinyl. You might use some Murphy's cleaner, then follow up with some Weiman furniture cream or just lemon oil. See what you have before anything serious in the way of refinishing.

Re: Looking for New NiBral Prop
Michigan Wheel in Grand Rapids used to be pretty good at customer service -- might check in with them for advice and pricing. Could give you some additional baseline info, anyway.

Re: Front cabin window seals?
I don't consider myself a sucker for TV stuff (well, maybe a little), but FlexSeal really works. I've used the stuff on my F26 side windows and been leak free all summer -- seems to hold up well too.

Re: swim platform support
Made replacements for my F26 out of mahogany, using the old ones as templates. Not a difficult job -- used West System epoxy on mine, with 4 coats of varnish. They seem to be holding up well after three summers.

Re: f-32 with chrysler 318 water temp problem
Actual engine temps OK, though? A pyrometer is a good tool to have onboard -- check manifolds at various points, looking for blockages/hotspots. Raw water and perhaps circulating pumps due for service?

I just turn the refrigerator off when not in use (used rarely) -- dial inside the freezer door on mine.

Re: Hello Everyone and Help Please
I have my work done by the folks who pull and store my boat -- convenient if it works out. One of the best tools to have on board while breaking in a new-to-you boat is a wet/dry vacuum -- something small enough to move around easily in the usual small spaces. Helps to get the bilge as dry as you ca...

Re: 1962 3100 seabreeze engine question
Do you use water separating filters? If not, can check for water by siphoning a bit up from the bottom of the tank, and letting it settle out in a glass jar. Fuel will float on top of any water. How hot is it getting? Able to hold your hand on the risers when it's acting up? An infrared heat gun is ...

Re: Looking at an F25
Yeah, can be a challenge. The prop walk to port is interesting. Useful control once you get the hang of it. There are no tidal currents in the Finger Lakes (just summer boat wakes). I can turn the boat on its axis (pretty much anyway), when the wind is right and the lake is smooth. Otherwise all bet...

Re: Water pressure
could be the pump has sucked up a bit of flotsam, and needs to be cleared (may need to disassemble). On the other hand, vibration may be caused by a loose mount to the bulkhead. There may be rubber grommets in the mounting holes to deaden sound of pump operation, and one or more of those grommets ma...

Kicker rig here as well, on mine anyway (slow trolling for lakers): varwwwclientsclient1web3tmpphpSmY5WU.jpg varwwwclientsclient1web3tmpphpWF7093.jpg I was looking at a Tollycraft some time ago (Maryland) that was a donation sale -- passed on it, and felt a little sorry I did.
