for the last two years, i've always had steam. sometimes more than others (depending on the water temp, of course...how hard i'm running the engines, etc.), but i've always had steam. impellers both replaced within the last few months. engine temp runs within normal limits.

was considering a raymarine unit, but decided to go with another garmin.

just got it this week, and now have a 530s upstairs, and a 398 downstairs. both 5" screens.

i got the chartplotter hooked up, btw.

just got my genset fixedededed (carb rebuild), and am planning on using the crap out of it this weekend. i've used it a few times before, but generally just to nuke something etc. this weekend, and from now on actually, i plan on running it each time i go out, per the advice of my mechanic. anyhoo, ...

update on mine...

had the carb rebuilt and walah! runs like a champ. runs everything on board...including my ultra high powered transmitter that i use to communicate with the aliens (that was for you, mtp).

1. does anyone use this chartplotter? if so, what are your thoughts on it? i'm looking at possibly getting one to use as a 2nd on the bridge.

2. how old are these units? i can't seem to find any information on them...not even on the raymarine site.
