Fuel pump vent question F25 express
I am concerned that someone may have installed an automotive fuel pump on the Trojan I purchased recently. I was under the impression that on the fuel pump there would be a vent to the carburetor. But there isn't any fitting for a hose at all on this fuel pump. The carburetor flame arrestor does hav...

The saga has begun...we chose the Trojan
This posting is a follow up to our previous post, "Am I crazy? Or, hooked on a Trojan" in which my husband and I were debating keeping our Trojan or buying a newer Maxum. :D Per Hubby: After hearing advice fromyou good folks on the forum, I came around to my wife's way of thinking, which i...

From how far away are you willing to purchase? I think my husband and I have decided not t sell our 77 Express Cruiser 25' but we seem to change our minds on a daily basis. We're in Arkansas. Cabin is in fantastic shape, but I'd have to ask my husband for a mechanical report. There is a newer boat a...

Am I crazy (or, "Hooked on a Trojan")
(My husband usually posts, but it's me this time.) We bought our 30-year-old Trojan 25 Express 3 months ago for a fantastic price due to the lagging economy and high gas prices. Since then, I've completely fallen in love with it, while my husband has been left to deal with all the repairs and un-fun...

Alternator (yet another new guy question)
We've only had time to run our new 1977 25' Trojan about 6 hours, but have concerns that the alternator may not be functioning properly. The volt meter never reads more than about 12.5 volts even with the engine running and drops down when any accesesories are turned on. We've never yet run the boat...

trailer wanted for 1977 25'trojan express
Just wanted to see if anyone by chance might be selling a trailer. We're in central Arkansas and wouldn't want to drive more than 400 miles round trip to get it...(we're not asking for much, are we?!)

Just wondering if anyone knows how I can locate an owner's manual for a 1977 Trojan Express Cruiser-25ft? (Or manual for something similar?)

been there, done that, sympathize with you
Last month we purchased a 1977 25' Trojan. We got it for such an exceptional price, we were pretty alarmed when nothing on the registration seemed to match the information on the nameplate by the engine controls and inside the fuse area under the wheel. We spent nearly a week thinking we'd probably ...

Okay, trojay 1977 new owner ALSO needs oil change help
Thanks for everyone's patience..lots of questions.
We just bought a 1977 Trojan cruiser with a 318 chrysler. What weight oil is recommended---planning to use 40 weight because that's what is recommended for mercruiser marine engines. Changing oil tomorrow morning--any comments?

New 1977 owner needs winterizing help!
We just purchased a 1977 25' express cruiser with Chrysler 318. We're wanting to know where all the plugs are to drain the engine, manifolds, etc. We're also planning on refilling the engine with antifreeze...what's the proper procedure for this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Our boat is on...
