ok I know theres alot of pauls , the one I'm looking for has the james bond girl pic . Paul I remember clicking on a pic you had of your engine it was a chevy I believe can you tell me what size/year and what the install entailed as far as different shaft?prop? thanks

after speaking to Bob he explained that a 440 in the f26 wasnt a good idea due to the weight ofthe rngine coupled with the rpm damaging the 1" shaft I have no clue how the boat performed with this 440 in itbut was getting the feeling it wasnt the brightest idea according to bob

yeah after sleeping on it and getting nothing but bad news yesterday I think common sense has kicked in here. I cant utilize the parts outside the 440 block on a 318 so the existing engine and parts idea are now scrapped. Bob says he has the tranny that I would need should I lean towards a 350 chevy...

sorry just checked the paperwork your right its a 273 . An old man whos sinced passed away had this wood trojan for 20+ yrs I remember him when I worked at the marina when I was a young lad with hair on my head . before he passed away he sold it to a buddy who two years ago hit a deadhead one night ...

yeah Paul; I covered the windows with the canvas that snaps into place so for now there have not been fixed , the wife starts her vacation next week and plans are to purchase the material you suggested and do it that way , will keep you posted I have since moved all the new parts from the living roo...

thanks prowler, it is in fact a 440. I called bob "bless his heart" he walked me through the ryme and reason behind such a thing. from what I gathered they were never built with a 440 and for some reason the po put one in so as I was just about to cut a check to have the rebuild started I ...

prop question

would this work on my 1979 f26 ? Bronze propeller, nibral alloy & bronze shaft. Propeller is 17 X 17 right hand 3 blade. Michigan Wheel manufacturer. Very good condition with no nicks or dents. Shaft is 1-1/4 inches diameter by 72 inches long with tapered end & keyway slots machined each end...

your not putting them back ???? well then the you have about 100 stainless steel screws ? your RICH !!!! them things are like gold if you have to buy them. lol , I redid mine and installed only one, I left the other out to let in the air while I work down there .
