F-44 Convertibe Sedan - Curiosity

I am not sure if this belongs here or on the pontification page. I was curious if anyone has ever see an F-44 Convertible Sedan. I did not know that Trojan made a convertible sedan above the F36 until I came upon an old catalog recently.

Re: Saw a Trojan on Sea Hunt

You made me curious so I did some Googling. Here is what I found on a website that somewhat memorialized Lloyd Bridges. I sent an email to the address below but it bounced back. Hello I just wanted to let you know that I too am a fan of Mr. Lloyd Bridges and that the world lost a great hero when he ...

Re: Saw a Trojan on Sea Hunt

You've clearly seen it and seem to know quite a lot about it. I wonder if that boat is still around. Are there any other famous Trojans that you know of? I often wondered what type of boat Robert Wagner had that became infamous when Natalie Wood drowned. I've seen lots of pictures of it over the yea...

Saw a Trojan on Sea Hunt

I was watching an episode of Sea Hunt last night and Mike Nelson was on a Trojan. It was neat seeing one of the old Trojans in pristine condition. It looked like about a 30' Sea Raider Express with a flybridge. There were several scenes with the boat cruising and even some shots in the cabin. Has an...

Single vs Twin

I am trying to settle a friendly bet. I suspect this topic has been discussed in the past but could not find anything conclusive. Forgive me in advance for such an elementary question. In a given boat that is available in a single or twin engine configuration (say an F28 0r F30), is the fuel consump...

SS United States - 1000' Long & Cruised at over 40MPH

The SS United States was an amazing ship when she was built in 1952. Some of her speed records that were set over fifty years ago still stand today. Hopefully things will come together with the restoration. Below are a couple of links for anyone interested in learning more about this important ship:...

Boats - The Song

Not sure if this is a pontification, but it's a song that that struck a chord with me (no pun intended). Curious what others might think.

Re: 1980 Trojan 38 Fly

I wondered the same thing but when I looked at the pictures of the salon it looked too wide to be an F30. To your earlier point, if it's a Trojan at all, it's a heavily customized one. I'll be curious to hear what the broker replies with.

1980 Trojan 38 Fly

Just curious, has anyone ever seen a Trojan with a swim deck like this?

Re: looking at a 1976 express

In case it winds up making a difference to you, it might be worthwhile to confirm if you are looking at an F25 or an F26. There are pretty big differences in the accommodations between the two from that year. I believe that the F26 is close to a foot wider and the head is substantially roomier and c...

One thing Sorensen did not point out is the capacity of the raw water pump. If Don Casey's numbers are valid, they could be helpful in understanding what the capacity would be with two powerful V8 engines. Anyone happen to know if the flow rate specs are available for the engines typically found in ...

4 Out of 5 Boats Sink at the Dock

Hi folks, I am reading Sorensen's Guide to Powerboats. It's well written and loaded with useful information. One item in particular struck me and I was curious about the forum's thoughts. In the discussion on dewatering there is a chart with the rate of flow of water into a boat based on the size of...
