Dinghy advice
I have located a 9' Livingston for sale, and I am wondering how effective the Weaver Snap Davits are for securing it to the swim platform on an F28. It weighs around 120# I reckon but, if I have to tow it everywhere, I would rather go larger than smaller. It is a nice little boat, and it is the heav...

That sucks. I fondly recall Dad leaping into the water, on numerous occasions, after launching  Things like this make me happy to have a shallow marina. We rarely have more than 4' of water, even at high tide. It makes you have to pay attention to the tides, for leaving and returning, but it is...

heefus if i read correctly you are going to start your engine on one battery and then manually change over to a house battery to charge after the engine is running. if so you need to verify that your battery switch will (make before break) not break its connection to one battery during the switch o...

I am getting ready to add 2 house batteries to the F28. I am going to put them both on switches, one to each engine. I will start wi...

excessive alternator voltage
Ok. I am getting 17v randomly from the starboard alt. She will start at 14.5, then climb to 16-17v. Sometimes she will drop down again, and sometimes not. I went ahead and picked up a new regulator, but I am concerned that it may be a stator grounding issue. This is the original alt. and has neverbe...
