At the advice of some other members, I want with 17x14 4 blades from 17x16 3 blades.
My spares are 16x17 but I've never put them on.
Bobct posted some videos and numbers when he changed his props. Search for that for some more info.

Re: Buying a new VHF...
For that 2150 model, it doesn't look like it includes a built in GPS.
Read the comments under the black model.

There are comments that indicate some issues if not fully installed and integrated.

Re: Buying a new VHF...
That's the one. The user manual states that you may need the optional GPS antenna if your mounting location doesn't receive a good signal from the built in GPS antenna.

That model has a built in antenna. I wonder how it works from under the top without clear view of the sky.

Re: Buying a new VHF...
Ok, so the VHF 300 AIS includes a black box VHF (so you need the handset GHS 10) plus the AIS 300 part. So, should there be a VHF 600 AIS? It looks like you would need the VHS 300 then a AIS 600 to do that. By having the VHF 200, you actually have a VHF box because the VHF 300 does not have that, ju...

Re: Buying a new VHF...
So does that 600ais act as a VHF or does it upgrade the 300ais?

Re: Heading out
I know you are busy this time of year with taxes, we had already planned on the watertaxi service to get around. We are staying at the marina (2)story bld. Have a tax question, how do I get back all that they take? Actually talking about moving south to save money as Maryland taxes are increasing st...

Re: Heading out
Hey Dennis, If he was a nice guy he would arrange a boat ride for you so you could try to eaze that itch!   I'd love too, but I'm a tax pro who is already working 7 days a week until our April 15th tax filing deadline. That last week of our filing season is a bitch with no time for ...

Heading out
For those of you up north, it was mid 80s here today. I worked most of the day but my son kept texting me about taking the boat out. So this was about sunset out of Hillsboro Inlet near my home in Pompano Beach, Fl ( Fort Lauderdale ). We ran out to the sea bouy and came back in, rode around the int...

Re: Furuno to Garmin?
If I'm crossing to the islands I carry my handheld GPS as a backup. I can pretty much find my way up and down the coast without a GPS. I've not had this boat down to the keys yet, but you would definitely need it down there. I'd take my backup there too I do use it locally to be more efficient and c...

Re: Furuno to Garmin?
I'm going to use the Garmin sounder piece that integrates with the GPS/chart plotter. I'm sure there are better units, but I don't want three screens at the helm.
I had a Garmin combo on my last boat and feel comfortable with their sounder.

Re: Furuno to Garmin?
So it is sounding like I need to keep the radar unit. I guess the only benefit to replacing it would be having it all on one screen.
Maybe I'll apply that forgone cost to getting an autopilot instead.

Furuno to Garmin?
I've got a color Furuno chart plotter combo on my boat along with a separate Furuno radar unit. They are pre-navnet models but have been connected together along with the floscans and VHF. Except for the floscans, all of that was on the boat when I bought it. I don't use them a lot, but I can't stan...

Re: eBay boat
It appears to be not that far from me, but I need another boat like I need another wife. I think the description has lots of problems. Rebuilt engines, but needs risers? Why would you rebuild the engine and not do the risers? Engines run but the batteries are dead and they didn't try to start them? ...

I love how this is being sold. Place your bid, you are responsible for it, but you can't inspect it. I suppose that's why they won't get much for it.
