Re: engine room extinguisher - mid cabin

I had mine serviced a year ago or so. The tank was fine but the guy seemed to think it should be bigger. I assumed it was original equipment and that Trojan knew what they were doing. I did learn that if it goes off, I should not open the hatches so I don't add oxygen to the fire. I did buy several ...

Re: So, you wanna go fishing...Eh?

another good reason to use J&W seafood in D'ville....O and they ship daily with me .... Any with the price of fuel, I should eat steak lobster and drink fine wine at a high end restaurant rather than take the boat out to fish. Oh, we'll I guess the rest of the cost is allocated to fun...

Mine actually became unplugged at the pump which is up under the aft hatches at the transom kind of near where you add air to the stealing system. Then I had a cut in my starboard hose right near the water line. I was wondering where that slick was coming from m I would double check all connections ...

It's been 80ish all week down here.

I would think GA is fine. I lived in N central GA for a while and it would get cold enough to snow once a year. I would think a boat in the water wouldn't get that cold, but you would want some kind of heater to protect small water lines or holding tanks.

I've paid mine. It's the smallest amount by far that I spend each year on my boat. It's also by far the most valuable.

I appreciate all the great info and even the occasional squabble.

Hear's to a great 2013!

Check Craigslist if you are looking for dockage behind a private home. There are posts about this all the time.

I park "free" behind my home. On a per foot basis, "free" is more like $100 per foot per month in mtg payment :D

Mine is mounted on top of the hatch and it has been permanently closed. I can get in from a hatch behind the mirror in the cabin.

I have a Furuno that came with my boat and I hate it!

I so miss my old Garmin. I'd replace it but don't know if the transducer would work.

The Garmin is so so much more user friendly.

I took a quick look at the fuses and they appear ok. When I removed the middle fuse, it quit running the fuel pump.

I hooked the battery back up and the fuel pump is running. I removed the fuses and when the middle one is out it stops. I appreciate the manuals, but still need to figure out which part is my problem. I'm not so good with anything but basic electrical. I did some searching on smokstak.com and the pa...

It's 85 and sunny here in Florida today. I could have been boating if it weren't for this working thing that seems to get in the way.

I'll remind you all of this in a few months when we dip down into the low 70s
