Re: Kohler generator problem

I had similar problems with a 1998 kohler generator on my previous Trojan. not sure what year yours is but it probably has a temp safety, oil pressure safety, and exhaust temp safety. If any of those are active it will shut down. Mine also had a safety that shut it down if it wasn't producing 120 vo...

Re: Fixin her up!

The Oven cleaner works very well. And just in case you were not aware. We love pictures on this site. Without pictures it never happened. Congrats on the new Meter boat. I would love to move to an 11 meter from my 10 but width would require a total re-work of my dock and it would make all of the oth...

Re: Help Needed for Starting Problems

I have a 1990 10 Meter express and there are two small breakers between the DC main breakers on the DC side of my panel all the of way at the top of the panel that must be on for anything to happen as far as start and running of the engines. Some think they look like switches but they are actually b...

Re: Insurance for f26

Try Erie Insurance, I have them for my home, cars, and 2 boats very reasonable rates and quick to pay when you have a claim. They offer "Agreed Value" policy without a survey as well. I have my 1990 10 meter express and a 2002 21' Crown line bow rider insured for agreed value of 35k and 18...

1990 International Mid cabin cutlass bearing replacement

Hi guys, I have a 1990 International Mid cabin that I soft grounded late last summer. I had the props rebuilt but know that I need to replace the Starboard cutlass bearing. Does anyone know the specs for the cutlass bearing? anyone have the whiz bang removal tool that allows replacement with shaft a...

Re: The Next Trojan

I can't think of a brand built today that has the classic lines, the hull build quality, or the durability of Trojan boats. Sure Sea Ray has sold a ton of boats but you always hear about stringer issues on boats that are relatively young in age. Perhaps Tiara might have a following but Tiara owners ...

Re: $2.00 Gas

Here is my .02, I agree that the Fracking has brought the price of a Barrel of oil down because we can now be self sufficient and are in fact an Oil Exporting country right now because up until recently with the price of oil being at record highs it was profitable to frack for domestic use and expor...

Re: I can't breathe !!! Exhaust problems

I have seen similar boats with the exhaust that has a down pipe on the outside that is shaped to cut through the water but is well below the water line and the exhaust gasses come up a fair distance behind the boat and don't have a chance to catch up to boat. Google "Fresh air Exhaust for some ...

Re: auto pilot

I think it all depends on if you have the supporting electronics to go with it.

Do you have a relatively new GPS that will interface with the auto pilot you are considering?

Re: can you guys tell me about your nuts?

It all comes down to a matter of perspective... Think of it this way. You are the Prop and you are on a shaft. We are turning you in a direction that you have to fight against to make my 17000 lb boat go forward. You being the prop will naturally want to climb up my shaft to avoid work. To keep you ...

Re: mid cabin helm seat question

Todd,

My helm seat and companion seat do not site directly on the base they are mounted to a slide system that allows fore and aft adjustment and lets everything breath when it gets wet.

My 10 meter mid cabin is a 1990
