Bob,

That's kinda what I was thinking, having air in the system. Never thought of just cracking the faucet a tad, so will try that tomorrow.

All I did last year, as I did the previous year was turn the faucet on till no more water came out. Last spring, after re-filling the tank, I started the pump, and in about 3 to 5 min's, it was pressurized allowing water to flow. I was not worried about freezing because I also had a Boatsafe bilge h...

Can't get water pressure back

Hi all, Really need help on this one. Last fall when I winterized, I ran the water on the pressurized 20 gal water system, out, as I did the previous year. But after refilling the tank, I turned on the pump, but it has never shut off, which i assume means the pressure never got high enough for it to...

Paul, Your last picture gave me a great idea of how to cover the false floor between the v bunk. Now, I just have the carpet laying over the floor and m remove screws to get the carpet up in order to lift the floor up, to inspect the bilge pump, etc. I will now modify mine to attach the carpet direc...

Jamie, Go to http://www.diy-boat.com first. You may be able to buy the back issue of the #1 issue in 2009. I bought a subscription to the mag for 1 year (digital) for around $15.00 and that will allow you to download all back issues free, back to 2008. They have some great articles by the way also. ...

Paul, Yes I did, very much. If fact I will re-read it. I was wondering though about access to the bilge. On our F25, the floor is split down the middle allowing access to the bilge, but to be honest, I have never took the floor up to see what was under it. I have taken the floor up where there is a ...

DIY ARTICLE

Paul, Was your F26 featured in an DIY Magazine article? I was reading a 2009 digital DIY mag when I saw a picture of cabin that looked just like your boat. They were talking about the floor. Here is the start of that article; After installing new carpet in our 1978 Trojan F26, we realized that it di...

Old Hickory Lake isn't a land locked lake. You can do the so called "Loop" trip from it. Percy Priest lake, where I'm at is a land locked lake.

Paul, The Monomatic is, here by,,,,,,gone! When I was refilling the hold tank, saw a real small trickle of water streaming alone on the floor, so there must be a crack. Not surprising considering it is over 30 years old. I think I started cracking arouind that age too. Right now the head is laying o...
