I bought a Gallon so looks like I will have plenty, and there is lots more wood to refinish anyhow.

I finally took the swim platform and ladder off and have begun to sand, sand and sand some more it is turning out great. I will be starting to put the Sikkens Cetol on in the next day or so and was wondering how much Cetol has i taken to do the swim platform for you guys that have done it.

I was thinking about removing and re finishing my swim plat form on my Tri Cabin. I am looking for any tips or suggestions with the process and products to use.

Yes, that is the boat Blair. It has been a learning experience that s for sure and I still have a long way to go and alot to learn but I`m enjoying myself doing it so I can`t complain.

Painting Bilge
I`m finally getting the engines pulled and replaced, but before the new ones go in I wanted to clean and paint the bilge. I was curious on the best way to clean it and the best what the best kind of paint to use would be.

Going to pull the engines on my F36 tri cabin once hauled out. I can the areas that were cut out once before to remove the engines. Yes I have the 350 small blocks, One of my motors is no good and I have had no luck this whole season finding anyone that is willing to work on them or take it out, so I figure with these 2 being out already I could have them rebuilt over the winter and installed over the winter then I`m good to go ...

Finally got the exhaust manifold off, what a project that was lots and lots of penetrating oil. Anyhow the one port of this exhaust manifold is heavyly rusted, corroded etc. Hoping hoping this is my problem with getting the water in the oil. I also pulled the heads on both sides. Exhaust manifold will not come off
Trying, and trying to get my one exhaust manifold off, so I can remove heads etc and the starboard side on the starboard engine will jut not come off, I have 2 of the bolts out and 2 snapped off, the thing will not move at all. What are my options hear ?

Well I took the plunge today and started to remove the the top engine parts, my plan was to dis assemble and replace gaskets in the hopes it is a head gasket or something. the engines are in the rear in the AFT cabin, looks as if someone has had to get them out before as the rear seems to have been cut out and re patched at one point to get the engines out. Just saw this this week .

Well I`m still having motor issues, I am having absolutely no luck finding a marine mechanic to come look at my motor or even getting a return phone call for that matter. I have had a few friends that are pretty into cars come back out and help me out which has been great but still havn`t found the ...

Well looks like after everything a new, or newer motor is going to be needed to replace the port side, Had a few people take a look at things, all things point to cracked block ( this is not confirmed by a marine mechanic ) but with the amount of water I`m getting in the oil it seems to be what ever...
