440 Chrysler Alternator
Trying to help a friend locate some new alternators for his 1974 F36 with 440's. Anyone know which alternator it takes? Of course the paint won't allow any type of identification...;-) Below are some terrible pics but someone has been there done that and may have the info I need. Not sure if it's an...

Re: ac install
Yep, you have the split system. The self contained units take up some real-estate.

Re: ac install
My 16K unit is under my rear settee seat. I have it running to a main register in the salon, the sette wall and into the starboard vbirth wall. The ducting runs through the upper most corner of the starboard hanging closet so it hardly affects any storage. You do lose the drawers on that side of the...

Re: Aaron Bocknek -- 1960 to 2016
Wow, this is very sad news indeed. I had the pleasure of meeting Aaron a few times as well as at the Annapolis boat show. We exchanged texts, emails and phone calls over the years. He would offer anything, to anyone who simply asked.
He may be gone but not forgotten. RIP Aaron.

Re: Lightning Strike at Marina
Yep...a few years back we too had a lightning strike a few boats down from me. Almost every boat on our dock was damaged electrically. It'll take a while to discovered all the damage. Most boats the charge blew out their battery chargers, on some boats, their expensive electronic shifters were damag...

Re: F32 - Differences througout production
There are many that will chime in. The hulls are the same with a few changes such as steering from chain drive to hydraulic, helm designs both upper and lower, engine room vent configurations, there is a difference in the 32 sedan vs the express cruiser with or without flybridge...the cockpit sole b...

Re: chrysler 383 carburetors
Changed out the old AFB's on our 250 HP engines to the edelbrock 1409's ( 600 cfm), better metering and idle qualities and a very easy swap out....I don't think you will regret it...just some fitting for the flame arrestor and dealing with the PCV if you have it...IMO you will never need the 750 cf...

Re: anti-siphon valve foibles
Thanks Striperman, Mine are Crusader 270s and have only the inlet filter between the pump and carbie. My F28 has Chrysler 318 which have the metal canister filter between the pump and the inlet filter on the Carter AFB's. :D I too have Crusader 270s and the 1409 carbs, which I changed from the Quad...

Re: 1984 Trojan F32 engine replacement
I replaced my engines last spring. Removed the sliding portion of the salon door and out they came. Manifolds and all, with transmissions. I have the Chevy 350's and they are wider than your 360's, valve cover to valve cover (outside) so you should have no problem. The 360 should be about 20 inches ...

Wow...Sorry to hear. Here are a few photos I took as he was pulling into Port Kinsale to join us back in 2011. Did you check the 12 volt circuit breaker at the rear of each engine?
