yep back for lunch, lucky I'm working within 2 miles of home today , looks like if I wanted that engine with its standard rotation I would need a LH prop, bell housing, motor mounts, transmission and possible a flywheel and starter will still get some pics on here tonight "wife willing " :D

I'll get back tonight from work and get some pics in here . Ive exhausted my search for a 318. I'd much rather put a newer"ish" engine in like the 1987 I'm loooking at . in the meantime I have everything that bolts onto the 440 chrysler that will sit in the garage and be sold off as needed...

there is nothing in there right now , thats why I need an engine, originally the f26 came in my model year with a 318. I bought the boat and it had a blown 440 in it , I removed the engine and looking to put this 350 in it and probably purchase a velvet drive tranny from bob at beacon marine

the 440 has useless block , I was to the understanding that you couldnt stuff a 440 into that boat , something about the shear weight and the possibility of the rpm on that motor would be to much for the 1"prop shaft and prop. maybe tearing it off under load? I got some more info on the chevy e...

would a 1987 350 mercruiser work in my boat? see once advertised local but want to make sure before I get it . it came out of a searay ,I have a 440 tranny will this hook up to it or would I need to purchase a tranny that was original to the boat? thanks again for any help

another engine question

sorry but its that time , I have another line I'm looking into on the elusive motor. I saw one in my area that is a 1987 350 mercruiser . I was told if I was going to put a chevy engine in my 1979 trojan f26 that it would have to be a "bobtail" ? can someone explain what this type of motor...

do they make that in a 1979 f26 with flybridge? would need some dock rash on it ,a few scratches , some bird poop and water stains down the port hull but I'd be interested :P

Is the existing carpet what your looking to have bound? I have a binding machiine but by the time you sent it here and got it back it probably wouldnt be worth it . Any bigger carpet store should have the binding machine , up here in ny "well here anyway " binding normally runs about 2buck...

well bad news here , the engines I sent the buddy out to fetch would up being to good to be true . he drove from ny to mich. and then the seller claimed he couldnt get the garage door open :shock: . I explained my guy was within 20 mins of the seller but it didnt seem to do any good as he said there...
